Dreams of a Dark Warrior (Immortals After Dark, #11) by Kresley Cole
Finished with the whole series... shall be waiting for the next one in 2012. Got to say - the male lead, the reincarnated Berserker, is the most masochistic from the bunch... he's in a very gray area of good and evil, the actual side-antagonist of the previous book.. see #56.

all the books from The Valkyrie's series (besides the first one) have nearly 50 chapters and weirdly enough I didn't get tired from reading most of it. Someone should make a movie out of the books.... The Lore in this books is very fascinating, like having all different kind of dolls to play... not a monotonous supernatural series at all - like Christine Feehan.

Note : Valkyrie/Berserker/Torture/Imprisonment/Wendigo/

Lisa Cach is one of the adult authors who are able to make a satisfying young adult readings. No good author should start with the young adult genre.

Yeah I spend nearly a month laying off the book after a couple of pages. sue me but I hate Gale AND Peeta. Seriously, without them bringing the drama, Katniss would be happier.

There's no story (or it'll be a short, bland one) if they didn't bring any drama.

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins
I'm glad it end. Most books turn sour after several sequels. Tortured Peeta is much better than annoying Peeta (if you havent realize it already, half of what I read have mentally and physically tortured male leads.. its the sadist in me who like damaged characters). But theres not much character development with Gale, he's ceased from my mind now. Thankfully, everything doesnt end with sappy happy endings with everyone happily ever after except for those two.

someone sing until 2am, several kicks in the head and an ear infection made it hard to sleep. Really sad and evolving characterizations. Satisfying gory ending. Justice served.

the second book is much better. Kinda inconsistent story telling. I couldn't quite sure but the viking description in this one is soooo like Alexander Skarsgard.

The King's Speech by Mark Logue
the autobiographical nature of the book made it quite a fast read. Unlike the movie, the book actually gave more depth of the relationship between Logue and George VI. My speech therapist friends would love it.

Dune (Dune Chronicles, #1) by Frank Herbert
The book is a bomb. Yes, I could have finish it months ago. Oh well, now its done, maybe I'll read Dune Messiah later. Whenever I watch the 84's and 00's Alia, I look at my niece Alya and think, ok, she could have been more scarier than she already is now.

As long as it was written by the late Frank Herbert, it's okay. Don't read the ones his son and the other sci-fi writers wrote after Frank died. Waste of time and paper.

Its kinda weird that the tv movie change the twin tower montage but the cover (post 9/11) doesn't.

If you wanna skip the book, you can watch the tv movies. Its basically same thing.

Syahira | 752 comments 88. Sherrilyn Kenyon - Acheron
Acheron (Dark-Hunter, #15) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
I guess, I'm irritated that one Stephanie Meyer big font book was the longest book in my stat. Since I read Katra/Sin book, eventually I need to read about Acheron again too.Trust me, rereading 800 pages book with tiny font is hard. But I always did like Acheron (apparently, I pronounce it right all these years), and half of the book was about his mortal life of childhood abuse and eventually rape, prostitution, degradation and torture before he reached his true godhood. Its not really a good read for those with faint of heart and wanted light romance thing. It carries a bloody, graphic abuse on children until young adulthood in times unrecorded by history. Proceed with caution.

Sherrilyn Kenyon's Retribution had just released. I was lagging with my SK's reading list.

Syahira | 752 comments 89. Frank Herbert - Dune Messiah
Dune Messiah (Dune, #2) by Frank Herbert
It started with Brian's preface on the book about how readers didn't like how Paul life after Dune - the whole main protagonist became lesser protagonist thing. oh, seriously, suck it up, read a romance or something.. happy endings are overrated.

Personally, I feel bad for Irulan. Another character needed to be lightened up. Grow a spine or something.

Best character... Duncan Idaho. I cant resist... "Puppy-eye!!!" reading this while watching Children of Dune part 1 is not helping too.

Funny how I watch Cowboys and Aliens before reading this book.

Therefore, this is how I imagine Jess would be. Dang.

I'm surprised that Sherrilyn is doing the Native American lore now. I always did like House of Nights because of the whole Kalona and Aya thing. Kinda refreshing besides all the greek, atlantian and things.

And another character called Ren.... sigh... Wolfbane, here we go.

I was bored, my sis kept reading the book (sgt kusyuk) so I read it... then speed read it... damn this thing is filled with filler. It remind me how I hate malay romance novels. If you didnt notice it already, most of what I read IS romance... but rarely I read malay romance... because I would destroy it with my reviews on how mind numbing it is.

WARGH!!!!
