Who is better for Clary, Simon or Jace

Why would you consider having Simon for Clary?
I would understand if you raised this question after just reading Book 1. But in this City of Fallen Angels, everything is clear about who should be with who.
I think jace is right now, you know, considering simon with the multiple girlfriends and him liking izzy.
Clary= JaceSimon= Isabell
Maia= Kyle, whatever his name is.
Alec= Magnus
There, relationship solved. May be a bit weird for Maia and Kyle, but at the end they seemed ok.

The dreams were planted to his mind by Lilith. I do not think any other creatures will survive this kind of torture, surely not Simon. Jace has the angel blood that keeps his sanity.
As much as Simon is reliable, considering him for Clary is nonsense. Clary does not love him. Simon is protecting her but Clary will always think of Jace. Jace is the only person she wants in this life.
yeah i agree plus she tried to go out with Simon in the second book but HE broke up with HER because he knew how she felt. (and it's the 4th book for heaven's sakes! it should be clear who is going out with who!)

Cassandra is gonna have A LOT of explaining to do if Jace and Clary don't end up together. A lot of explaining. The only possibility would be that one of them dies and I doubt that is feasible.
If at the end of 6th book of Mortal Instruments series Jace is not with Clary, then the series will be a total blunder.

Exactly, Jace is one of my favorite characters because of the clever humor that is brought to the book, and it would be heartbreaking if he died.

I know I'm one of the few but I always loved Simon more than Jace although it seems like Simon and Clary finally worked out their friendship. True that Jace seems like way more drama than Simon but most of it is not his fault. I myself would have choosen Simon but I like Jace and Clary okay.
Jace!! Although i am really worried about the whole Sebastian thing for the next book. But Simon is supposed to be with Isabelle. Jace all the way! :D

Jace let Clary leave the institute around 11pm by herself and he also left Clary alone late at night at the Ironworks in Brooklyn in bad weather; Being from NYC, I think it's okay for me to say it's a very dangerous city and any good boyfriend would never ever leave a 16 year old girl alone to fend for herself to get home. Probably would have been better for me if Clare used an imaginary city rather than actual landmarks in a real city. I do love Jace and Jace with Clary, but there are times where I think he could be more gentle with her like Simon. What I worry about is how Luke stayed in the wings loving and waiting for Jocelyn all those years. You can see the similarities between Luke and Simon. Plus, I read that the author designed Simon after her husband, Josh. So I hope the story doesn't vere off and turn into Clary coming to her senses vs. lust and eventually ending up with the nice boy next door, Simon. Although, I really like Simon and find him an increasingly fascinating character. I totally agree with all the coupling above we're all talking about here and I hope it stays that way. I can't wait to see how the Simon/Isabelle relationship turns out. I agree if Clare doesn't have Jace and Clary end up together at the end of the series, it will be a total disappointment and blunder. I also suspect the only way to have Clary end up with Simon would be if Jace died and I couldn't bear that I just love his charcter so much. Although, with Jace now possessed by Sebastian and I read that spoiler about "one of their own betrays them" in Book 5, I wonder which Jace we're going to see in this book? Will we see more of Jace running away from Clary fighting the demons within himself? Will he completely lose all memory or sense of who Clary is? Then there will also be the rush of having to perform the ritual before Jace is 18. Does anyone know what month Jace's bday is?
Sorry, people, I made a mistake!!! I meant Jace left Clary alone at Simon's concert, NOT the Ironworks; still it's a dangerous city and no considerate BF would have left her alone there! Sorry for the blooper :)
im shipping simon and clary, and who knows what will happen in the last book? the writer might do a twist.
There is no competition. It's Jace. Always has been and always will be for Clary. They love each other you can't change that. There never was just a hint of conflict.

Why was this even a question?!?!?!? JACE!!!!! He's more like Clary and let's face it, Clary was only with Simon so she could try to distract her from Jace because they thought they were siblings. Simon's a brotherly character not somebody you'd want to date...ever. Everyone has their matches:
Jace-Clary
Simon-Isabelle
Magnus-Alec (Ps. They better get back together!!)
And let's face it...aside from Sebastian/Jonathan nobody else is really important anymore. Jocelyn and luke okay I'll give that to ya. I think Brother Zacharia is going to be big in the next book because we've all read how Clockwork Princess ends so yeah.
*SPOILERS from book 5*When I first started reading the series, I definitely thought Simon has her best interest at heart, BUT I knew that he was never going to be end game.
But the heart wants what the heart wants and Clary and Jace are obviously bound by some deeper connection - Simon is good with Isabelle, so I don't feel bad for him.
I honestly didn't feel for Jace until City of Lost Souls - I never didn't like him, but he doesn't always act selfless and reasonable - I felt his character developed a ton in COLS, despite being "possessed" or whatever Sebastian was doing to him via their binding situation.
When Jace said he was willing to give himself up to the Silent Brothers, even if it meant death, you really see how much Jace is different than Sebastian. He matured a lot to me in COLS.
And a mature Jace has changed my mind and I am now fully on board with Clary/Jace.
I think Jace, although he is not 100% reliable we all know he would do anything for Clary. I like Simon and although he loves her I think they are amazing friends and it should stay that way.
I like Jace more than Simon for Clary because due to the fact that Jace is the classic jerk guy turning into someone who loves is really an emotional break through for him and Clary. Simon; lets just his relationship with Izzy because its a great ship. ^-^

I think they're both good for Clary. Simon is good for Clary as a supportive friend and person she can talk to about relationship problems and stuff. While Jace is great for her romantically because he has helped her gain confidence as both a shadowhunter and a young woman. I also think that Simon and Jace are protective of Clary in different ways. Simon is protective of her in the sense that she's like his favorite sister while Jace is protective of her like he is her in a sense his other half.
