Tess or Clary?

Tessa!!! I can realte to her more than Clary.... Clary seems a little annoying, and i liked her at first but not so much in CoFA. Tessa is more like me so i guess i like her better. I have to admit though, Clary has a more fiery personality but Tessa is grace personified. They both have no problem on telling Jace or Will to shut up! ;D

Tessa, though i love both characters.
I think some people are forgetting that the books are set in different era's, that's why Tessa is more girly and proper than Clary. Atleast thats what i think.

i agree! so i like Tessa more. she's stronger (physically and emotionally) and think of others first. plus she got Jem and Will, lol.

I like the Infernal Devices better (I still love The Mortal Instruments though!!!) so I prefer Tessa. But I don't think you can really compare them.

Clary! Tess is cool, but she says girls shouldn't fight- even though she always ends up fighting- where Clary shows she's always ready to fight for what she cares for, no matter her chances. They are both defiant in a way, but I like Clary a lot better.

this is like choosen whos your favourite child or sibling. to diffcult. I love both, but if I never read TMI I wouldnt of read ID's. Thank good for clary. But yet they are just so amazing. cant choose. love them both. I just want COLS to come out.

I like both! Clary is more fragile than Tessa, but she fights for what she cares about and doesnt matter, how scared she is.
And Tessa... I like her sanity and when she chose Jem over Will, I cried. But it was right decision, he deserves her.
I adore Will, but he had really bad timing.

Since my last comment i've read both series again and i must say i prefer Tessa, a lot more than i thought.
I think she's one of my all time favourite heriones. She is definetly ranked up the top with Hermione and Katniss for me.
She also has an amazing personality. She's kind, caring and so proper but then she has her moments.
But Clary kind of annoys me a litte, i don't think she's as strong as Tessa.

I like Tess better. Even though she is a little too old fashioned for me, it doesn't bother me as much because she is from a different time period where as Clary is more modern. I still like Clary, but she's just so annoying in TMI! haha Tess wasn't at all for me!
