Looking for the name of a book

Ok....So last night I was browsing authors....I can't remember if it was on here or if I saw the book on a forum but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it or the author. It's something like, He's a sort of protector ( I think) between the human world and his world....it's like two different dimensions....He ends up having to bring her over to his dimension and she ends up liking his world better and wanting to stay..... Anyone know the book I'm talkin about???

I have one that I have been trying to find, it wa the firt big novel I ever read.
It's about a type of slime monster that kills people and as they die they have an orgasm that kills them.
I know it's crazy but it's really a book!
