Ian Peterson (kolonelklink) After Game of Thrones blew up I'm curious what scifi books would make great TV. I've got a preliminary list on my blog but what do you guys think?

i think that's a fun blog post you wrote!

i'm not sure what series in particular. i like your idea of using The Culture, although the separation of each novel as a standalone would be an adaptation challenge.

i think it would be cool to do a pulp style scifi adventure, one with an overarching arc of course, but individual episodes would be separate adventures. like the Earl of Dumarest saga. or anything in that vein. clearly i'm missing Firefly!

Ian Peterson (kolonelklink) I like the pulp idea, I like an overarching theme but maybe self contained episodes, and that's what I think drew me to something like the x-files or Fringe or even Star Trek.

I miss Firefly too, and I just feel there is a dearth of really good scifi shows out there. I love Game of Thrones, but at the end of the day I'm a scifi geek and not a fantasy fan.

Aloha | 538 comments Great blog, Ian...er...Klink. I like the pulp idea, too, as long as it's not silly.
