I guess I live under a rock, because I only last month discovered that one of my all time favorite authors, Robert B. Parker, died in January of 2010. I will miss his quirky writing style and my favorite character, Spencer. Farewell my friend.

I do like his other hero Jesse STone a wee bitmore.
But as I understand both Spencer and Stone will continue through some ghostwriter.

Ace Atkins will continue the Spenser series and Michale Brandman will continue the Stone. Brandman has written several of the Jesse Stone movies.

After saying to myself, "No, I won't read these," I just began reading Ace Atkin's contributions to the series last year & I really like them. Atkins keeps the same witty / sarcastic dialogue & short chapters that are a part of Mr. Parker's works. These are still a joy to read!
