Hahaha, yeah, I am! :-P I mean, I like both guys but Mircea just does it for me. LOL This doesn't mean that I'm not pissed at him when he treats Cassie like a child but I can't help it! I'd even let him lick my toes. Hahaha!

Oh yeah, I loved that desciption of him! LOL
I hope we get to know more about him. The glimpses we got made me very curious.

Agreed. I hadn't realized how truly good Marco is until I read about the scene in the bathroom, but he's on my hot-list now!
Anyway, I hope that(since Pritkin's going to hell and everything, from what I have gathered round here)I hope he'll become human mage ehrn he gets back. Only, has Cassie died and gone to hell and he goes to her rescue??

Also, I missed Billy Joe in this book. I feel as if he gets less page time as the books go on... but I guess other characters such as Marco and Jonas make up for it and Fred was hilarious.

Same here! Didn't miss the Consul at all!

You questioned in message 142 if Cassie herself is a goddness. I have the same question. Niall said her dad was Garm the companion of Hel. Was he a god? If so, that would mean Cassie is a goddess, right? Someone please help me understand this confusing Norse mythology.
Sarah - You are not the only one that loves Mircea. I want her to be with him but (like you) I get really frustrated with him when he is super protective. I am really turning toward Pritkin as well but ultimately want Mircea/Cassie.
Kelly - I never thought about who was the double but Dori would make sense. She could defend herself easily enough but I thought Vampires could detect her dampire-ness.
Kat - Did Mircea kiss Cassie's double?

I think Pritkin's value to Rosier isn't so much that Rosier wants a powerful grandchild, but that he's wanting to trade favors with other demons for Prikin's "services". He told Cassie that full demons have terribly low reproductive rates and limited partners because most are restricted to what kind of energy they can exchange.
Pritkin's human half increases his fertility and his incubus half allows him to exchange energy with anyone which means other demons are willing to give/pay a lot more to mate with him. So, basically I think he mostly just wants to use Prikin like a high class hooker.
Another thing I've been thinking about this is that Pritkin said that time runs differently in the demon realms like it does in Faerie. The one time Pritkin's experienced the hell/earth time change, it was to have a lot more time pass on earth than in hell, but the time differences in Faerie were both. Sometimes not much time would pass and sometimes years in comparison to Earth.
This has me a little worried that even if Cassie were to launch a rescue mission first thing in the next book, Pritkin could have already been there for years. A lot can happen to a guy trapped in hell for years on end.
As for Cassie's dad, I don't think he's a god. Karen may make him one for these books, but Garm wasn't actually a god Norse mythology, he was a dog that guarded Hel's gate to the underworld, kind of like the three headed dog Cerberus that guarded the gate to Hades in Greek mythology. Also, if she were a full goddess it seems like she should have a lot more power than she does. I think she probably has more than she realizes, but maybe not quite that much. I do think it's reasonable that even if she is just a demigoddess that she would have a longer lifespan. The Graeae are supposed to be long lived I think, and the Spartoi were immortal so it's only fair...
I can't find a translation for Ragnar or Rag, but Ragnarok is supposed to translate to "final destiny of the gods". If Ragnor does translate to "warrior of the gods" then I'm guessing that it's "rag" translating to "gods" since those are the two words both have in common.
*takes deep breath*
Ok, sorry about the word vomit... that was stuff I'd been thinking about too and I wanted to get it all out before it floated off into the ether.

Agnes knew him, so why did she think that her mom ran off with someone else... or did she know it was the same guy? I'm stumped, I can't even come up with any theories on this one.

The energy exchange is considered demon sex, and he was banned from both human and demon varieties.

Mircea mentioned that information coming from the Pythia is very hard to obtain and whatever bits is uncovered may not be accurate (thing about the heir going missing and with whom being altered). I think it is safe to say that few know the real answer to your question.

I don't expect him not to fight it, and I know how determined he can be, but in chapter 30 when he's explaining it to Cassie he says, "The agreement I made was simple: no sex, of the demon or human varieties. Else I would forfeit my 'parole' and be returned to my father's court, forever to remain under his absolute authority."
He may not have a choice. Rosier may or may not have a way to force his compliance, or he could be bound to it by willingly making the agreement.
But I guess my point was more that I was worried about him possibly being stuck there for years, that would suck for him even if he did manage to keep his undies on.

Reminds me of book 2 when Pritkin agrees to take care of Cassie for Agnes and mentioning that he do not make promises ever....because he keeps them.
My heart bleeds for him now....unless he has a card up his sleeve...he goes on stud duty.

Reminds me of book 2 when Pritkin agrees to ta..."
Lol, that same thing occurred to me when I was typing out that quote. I hope he doesn't have to do anything like that, but a lot of explaining went into that whole situation for nothing to come of it.
Maybe after we read A Family Affair and Shadowland we'll have more information to draw conclusions from.

In Curse the dawn, the famous changing room scene....Cassie ask if it is sex yet...and Pritkin responds that it's an emergency. Would oral sex be considered sex in the demon world?
Can Pritkin get out of it on a technicality?

In Curse the dawn, the famous changing room scene....Cassie ask if it..."
When Pritkin is explaining all that demon sex stuff after their scene in the shower, he tells her that the more humanoid species of demons can have sex like humans, but that they don't consider that a true joining. That only happens when they merge with each other and feed off each other's energies.
So, the power exchange is what's considered to be demon sex. That's what was happening when he fed on her power in the changing room and in the car. Pritkin said that Rosier made an exception about him not being allowed to feed/exchange energy when his life was in danger. When he did it those two times he wasn't breaking his agreement, but when he transferred energy back to Cassie he was breaking it because it wasn't his life that was in danger.

I think that Garm would be a magical creature somewhere between a faerie and a werewolf. Definately immortal but perhaps not a god. At least that is how I read it.
Yea I agree not having the Consul there was much better although I was kinda hoping for more cameo's or maybe Dee to show up.
I love the Norse mythology mixed into the book. Just saw a documentary about it and it put a smile on my face because I was thinking of HtM.

I like it too. It's not used as much as Greek or Roman, and I like the way she's mixing the different mythologies. I've been reading up on it a bit, trying to see if I can figure out who or what is going to be representing Odin and Fenrir for their big showdown. I doubt I'll find anything, but my obsessive personality demands that I try lol.

But I noticed someone asking if we thought Cassie would go get Pritkin first, or go to Faerie to get Hel. I'm a little confused - Hel = Artemis, right? And Artemis is dead? So why would Hel be in Faerie?
I think when Cassie said she was going to "raise some Hel" she did mean that she's going to go find her mother, because she needs her mother to give her some tips on how to get Pritkin back from the demon dimension. I'm just wondering why we think she's going to Faerie. I'm assuming she's going to time travel again.

When he did it those two times he wasn't breaking his agreement, but when he transferred energy back to Cassie he was breaking it because it wasn't his life that was in danger. "
Damn....can we say that Cassie does not technically fall into the demon or human varieties? I mean, the offspring of a goddess and a magical creature somewhere between a faerie and a werewolf is not very...human?
