Yay, new episode. Let's see how fast this thing downloads while riding in a train.(Damn, iTunes hasn't updated yet... I guess I'm going to wait another hour until I'm home.)
The file is always at the bottom of the blog post for direct downloading, and you can direct download from SoundCloud as well (which I'm trying since I can't get archive.org to embed the flash player anymore for some reason). The file updated just fine for me on iTunes!
Let me know if you have any other issues.

Well, SoundCloud is not going to work, they only allow 120 minutes of audio a year on the free plan, which we've already uploaded half of with one episode. /sigh
Any other suggestions?
Any other suggestions?
Like I tweeted, I like how the yahoo one looks, anyway. Cool I see my soundcloud comments on SnL now. I'm going to miss the soundwave comments.

Wow, that's too bad. I quite liked the timeline comment ability but haven't tried uploaded anything on it.
OK, jlawrence helped me figure out the archive.org code, for some reason now it's working again! I'll leave SoundCloud up for this episode.
Boo about the SoundCloud limit; I really liked the ability to mark along the timeline. Which you will see.... *grin*
Kris wrote: "So what was the decision for the next book? vote or decision by fiat? Thanks for the podcast..."I dunno. I thought we were going to try for a female sci-fi writer -- we even had a thread for suggestions, with lots of support for something by C. J. Cherryh, Margaret Atwood and Ursula K. LeGuin.
It should be a scifi book, seeing as how we're finishing one fantasy and we'll be doing another with DWD when it comes out.

I say we vote for those...Can I get a poll?
Just a quick fyi. Jean Rabe is pronounced like jeen ray-bee. I met her many times when I was active in the RPGA.
As a response to the end of this episode, where it's discussed whether or not reading the books makes the show Game of Thrones better, I've started a thread in the George R R Martin Threads section titled "Game of Thrones - I haven't read the books". If you want to weigh in on what it's like to watch the show without having read the books, please drop by and comment!
For the next book I'd suggest lets read the Nebula Award winner for this year Blackout/All Clear . I'd like to suggest this for a purely selfish reason. I've listened to the first 3rd of "Blackout" on Audio Book and I would love to find out if others think that at least that first part is as mind numbingly boring as I've found it. I'm going to power through in hopes that the whole story isn't this way but so far it feels like the story isn't going anywhere interesting.

I wanna go back to the world where this is a stuffy town full of repressed people, and I give sub-prime loans to bad credit risks and employ incompetent relatives!" Bah! Potterville was a better place to live.

Though you're right, Uncle Billy should've been fired.

What's Randian about preferring the town with a vibrant nightlife to one where they roll up the sidewalks at 6:00?
Blackout/All Clear might be a bit more than we could do in the time we have before ADWD is released.
But I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Here's a 1 star review of Blackout from internet star Julie:http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
I totally know what Tom is talking about when he mentions the conversation between Arya, Sansa and Eddard.(view spoiler)

No, I cannot accept any reality in which a hardcore biker gang goes around blasting Sammy Hagar to show how rebellious they are. No Diamond Dave, no sale!
