Hope everyone has had a chance to pop over to their team thread and meet your teammates. Categories will be announced soon. Don't forget ~ in addition to thinking about your team name, one player from each team will be responsible for posting your chip placement request on your team's game board page (see link at the top of your team thread). It can, but doesn't have to be the same person each week, but only one person per team post, please.
The chips will be placed in the order they are received, assuming all members have read, rated and reviewed their book.
Let me know if you have any questions at any point during the game. You can post here or send me a PM. :)
Steph - how does Japan time relate to other time zones?????? I know I could probably find it, but technology isn't always kind to me.....it's early afternoon here. 1:46 pm to be exact. If you could just LMK what time it is there, I could figure it out.....maybe......probably......I hope!
Hi Cindy! Right now it's 3:50a Saturday morning. So, I'm about 14 or so hrs ahead of you. Timeanddate.com is great for finding our the difference between time zones. I'm always using it.

Mid-day Sunday for Steph would be in the neighborhood of 10 p.m. Saturday for me.

Hmmm, I wonder if my friend would be bothered if I called her early every Sunday morning to check the thread out for me. Nah, I wouldn't really do that to her ... or would I. LOL.
Daff - sounds like we are in the same time zone. I'm usually up till Midnight or so. You could call me. Even though we are on different teams......well.....OK, I promise to tell you the correct category.

FYI: I've posted some reminders on the game board threads. Please take a minute to pop over there and check 'um out. This thread should be used for any questions or comments throughout the game (other than those between you and your teammates on your personal team thread), not the game board thread. That will keep it easy for me to know who's posted a chip request and which updates I need to make to the board(s). Thanks, guys! Can't wait for tomorrow's announcement and the start of Round One!

I have to do all my reading in secret undisclosed locations.....otherwise all I hear is "Grandma, look at me", "Grandma, watch this", "Grandma, what are you reading?" LOL It wouldn't be so bad, but the grandkiddos are 4 and 11 (boys) and I read a lot of Erotica...... Bookcovers are my friends!

Just poppin' over here to my reply from your thread. :)We're going to have a winner on each board. The game will go on until there's a winner on both. Well, obviously, it'll end for the 4 teams on the 1st winning board, but the other 4 will continue to duke it out until they too have a winner. :D

Announcement: Let's shake it up a bit, shall we?This change will start with our week #3 category announcement, Sunday, 19 June.
This is our first time playing this game, and imagining something in your head can never compare to actually playing it out. After the 1st round, we realized it might get pretty hard for a team to win with only 1 chip per week--lots of blocking to be done by other teams. We figured every team reading 2 books each week might be asking a bit much, but we wanted a way for each team to have more than 1 chip per week. So ...
Each team will be able to place TWO chips per week. The team's first chip placement request may be made after the first two teammates have read, rated and reviewed their books. The second chip placement request may be made after the last two teammates have read, rated & reviewed their books.
Nothing else will change, all other rules apply. Please let us know if you have any questions. And, let us know what you think of this new twist.
