This sounds fun. And potentially crazy, depending on how many teams we end up with. I'm probably in, but gotta look at my schedule and make sure I can keep up the 1 a week pace.

I want to play but it depends on when it starts. I will be on vacation June 5th -13th so if it doesn't start before then I will play.
I'm in. But if you end up with an number of players not divisible by four, I'm willing to sit out this time if it helps.
I'm a maybe... Sounds like fun but I also have a vacation scheduled for two weeks starting June 21st and will not be able to login... Am planning to take a few books for the long plane trips so if they fit a cagegory and I can update when I get back??? Then it will work, I do not want to hurt any team's good start...
Jackie, Steph doesn't have an exact date yet for the start, but I'm guessing we'll be starting early June.Diane, I think we're going to stop the signup at a certain number of players--we were talking about it this morning (my morning, Steph's night) so I'm guessing she'll be on here later to let us know the plan. :)
Lis, we'll definitely be playing then, and it's the kind of game where each team needs to get their chip as fast as they can--waiting 2 weeks will probably really hurt a team's chances. :(
This game is going to be more fast paced than Bingo--for those of you who have played Bingo with us. :) Every member of each team has to read one book per week, or your team will fall behind, and quickly. Yes, real life happens, and no, a silly reading game should never come first in the grand scheme of things. But if you have something that you know will keep you from reading for this game, it would probably be best to sit out this round.
And since this is our first time playing CCC4, we really don't know what's going to happen or how it's all going to work out once we get rolling. Maybe after playing the first game, we'll see that being the team that finishes their reads first isn't always in the best position. Maybe getting one chip late, but getting the next one first will give your team a one-two chip drop. We'll soon find out... ;)
I don't want to scare anyone off, I just want to make sure everyone is aware that the whips will be out in full force. Lol.

(1) Only 32 people will be able to play in this round.
Please, please, please do not fear letting us know that you've changed your mind and cannot play. Now is the time to let us know though. Since the teams will be small, it's best if everyone is absolutely, positively sure they can and will read one book a week for as long as the game lasts. Sorry, but no telling how long that'll be. But, as we've said, our best guess is to figure on the next couple of months.
Once we reach the 32 player cut-off, please feel free to sign-up and let us know you'd like to play should anyone need to drop-out. That'll be a big help, if that happens.
(2) We will have two game boards and eight teams. Four teams will battle it out on one board, while the other four teams play on the other board.
I'll create a second game board thread. Message #2 on each thread will include the team colors playing on that board.

:) We're very close to our 32 mark. So, I'd say it's safe to plan for an early June start vs. latter 1/2 of the month.

This might be a very silly question but I just thought I'd ask (lol), I know the teams are done randomly but is there anyway I can request to be on the pink team? haha it's my favorite color so I'm just curious and putting it out there :D
