I found the event, for some reason it is just not showing up at the group: http://www.goodreads.com/event/show/1...
Ahem, here's mine :) Heather's Heart
Having read some of Doug's work in the past, I was surprised at first at the action-packed, thriller opening. But then the story turned to what I love about Doug's writing: engaging characters.
I was very surprised at a few parts. At times I wanted to cry, other times go hide under the covers. It was the perfect combination of action, interest, and background. Though strongly a fantasy book (they go to Hades and back!) Heather's Heart touches on real life issues facing parents and teens: bullying, abuse, siblings, and homelessness to name a few. But for the die-hard fight scene lover, this book doesn't disappoint you either!
I just have to say this: after reading you'll never look at kids that wear heavy make up the same again. Or sweet foods, for that matter.

Post your responses here; I am nervous about making a new event until I know why the first one disappeared.
Happy reading!
