What should the next writing contest be about?

If you do the numbers for a genre thing again, I'd like it if we were assigned a different genre to this time around.

As for ideas, how about something set in the past? Either a specific period, or open so long as it predates WW2?

I had some more thoughts but they came to me around midnight and I didn't write them down... of course, they're all gone now. :(

:( It always happens at midnight! One time it happened to me when I was thinking in bed about something related to my exam. The next day I couldn't remember until I was already in the exam room :P

Well,let me tell you this- The Twilight writer got the idea of the story in a DREAM!

Most people have more interesting dreams than a vampire that sparkles like a discoball, though. But it is a good idea.

The first one I ever had to write was set to the prompt of:
Mrs Tompkinson's autobiography. Why is Mrs Tompkinson writing it? Preface to the biography itself.

Don't know whether that's also an idea to play about with for potential future prompts. Might need a lower limit though as most people didn't get past 500 words.

I didn't understand your prompt idea!!! Sorry! Can you explain it again.

Sorry, didn't see this. Just go with the idea of autobiography (not a personal one, obviously, a made up person whose name you could give or the participant could invent.)
