Beck is brooding? I thought he was the sarcastic jokester while Simon was the serious, quiet one? Either way I thought Beck was a lot more interesting. Simon was just too nice. I like nice guys, I don't need a character to be a "bad boy" but Simon had very little personality to go with his pure heart.

Oh wait till you read Soul Thief/Forbidden. I wanted to shake the both of them especially Beck!! I still like him better than Simon though for sure.

Something is going on with Simon, though. His thoughts are not his own or something. I'm thinking he's being mind f***** by a demon/angel/devil or whatever. Once that hold is broken, he'll be the regular guy he was. I like Beck, but he's too much of a hick.

There's a fascinating older brother/lover dichotomy going on with Beck. He's got a pledge to keep, and that keeps getting in the way. That creates a natural sexual tension that doesn't feel forced. Rather than some outside force (a parent, an authority figure, etc.), he himself is the impediment in their relationship. (That and the fact Riley either can't or won't understand what "grown up" love is.

I've been Team Beck even after Simon Adler was introduced and Ori. Most people after reading the whole 3 books, then say oh i'm team beck now after reading what Simon and Ori did. But i love beck and his southern accent. :)

Team Beck from the begining of the series, he is lush! He cares, he just has his own way of showing it and i scream at Riley sometimes to get it, she can be so narrow minded, half of what he does is for her. I cant wait til the last one comes out, definately some unresolved issues that need sorting out.

Beck is so much better than Ori and Simon. Seriously he's better than Riley. She doesn't deserve him not the other way around.

HELL YEAH BECK WINS EVERY TIME BUT both the characters need to get there emotions sorted one min there in love the next they hate each others guts.

I think Beck is perfect for Riley, she just doesn't see it yet. His love for her is genuine with no strings attached. To be honest I think that Beck may have always had feelings for her, but couldn't act upon them. He only refused her because of her age. I also think that him working with her father may have added to the pressure of revealing his true feelings for her. Now he is too focused on protecting her.I think she needs that right now. She just needs his help, get to know him better, and spend more time with him (they do have a few sweet moments.) I just hope they work past their issues and end up together!

i am totally brooding Beck more... how can Riley be with a NCB! he will get boring. plus he wants to be a demon hunter. Also... beck has a heart breaking story so i am totally with Beck!
