Aloha | 538 comments Thanks, Jason. Steampunk is actually the next theme I'm going for in my reading list.

Rebecca Bloomer | 8 comments Oh! I've just read all the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger. They're on the 'gentle' side of steampunk and I LOVE them.

Grace (bookswithoutanypictures) | 1 comments I recently read Lilith Saintcrow's "The Iron Wyrm Affair" and enjoyed it immensely. Steampunk is one of those things that's hit or miss for me, but this one was definitely a winner.

Esther (eshchory) | 82 comments I read Soulless which was fun.
Boneshaker was good but a little heavy going.
Leviathan was also good. It didn't quite live up to my expectations but I really loved the Clankers machines.
I have yet to find a Steampunk that really thrills me.

i thought Soulless and its sequel were pleasant but not very memorable - i won't continue with the series.

i liked Leviathon. just read its sequel Behemoth, which was also enjoyable.

i thought Boneshaker was okay, but often dull and annoying.

i completely loved The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters and its sequel The Dark Volume by Gordon Dahlquist. although a lot of people have not enjoyed those books. i don't understand a lot of people.

Mary Catelli | 659 comments I also liked The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison, though the steampunk elements are less central to the main plot.

message 10: by Lena (new)

Lena Just finished Dead Iron and enjoyed it. I’ll be reading more Steampunk. Also loved Parasol Protectorate but not so much her daughter.
