can you clarify space travel - just so I don't gt confused...because reading Jenn Renee's question - I am....if they are travelling around space it counts? or do they specifically have to travel from earth to space?

Great thanks! I couldn't tell for sure.

KSMary wrote: "Would someone check on the books that I asked about in post #47? Thanks!"Hi -- sorry it took me so long to get back to you -- I haven't read either one, but from the description, they both look fine. The intent of Part B is science fiction that involves humans travelling in space, using science and not magic.
Would
count for part A space program? Also wondering about
? I know someone asked about it in an earlier thread, but I don't see an answer.

I'm going to say no to Sex on the Moon: The Amazing Story Behind the Most Audacious Heist in History because, from the description, it's focus is on the real-life thievery of Thad Roberts, a fellow at NASA, and nothing to do with astronomy or the space program.
I'm going to say yes to Galileo's Daughter: A Historical Memoir of Science, Faith and Love because, from the description, there's alot of astronomy in the book (I haven't read it yet so I don't know) and non-fiction astronomy fits the task. Besides, Galileo is cool :0).
Would The Man Who Ran the Moon: James E. Webb, NASA, and the Secret History of Project Apollo work? It's more about the running of the space program.

It fits. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
I have just finished my book for part a Moondust: In Search of the Men Who Fell to Earth. For anyone who has not chosen yet I really recommend this one. It was a really interesting read.I am now looking to complete part b. I am hoping that I can get Lyon's Pride approved. Although it is not very clear in the goodreads summary it does involve human space travel. There is some teleportation in the books but there is also plenty of 'normal' space travel as well.
Please let me know if you require any further information.
I just want to make sure that
will count for Astronomy? It is focused on the Sun, and goes through the history of our understanding of it, and how it effects us and various other things across our solar system.
Angie wrote: "I just want to make sure that

Will this fit part 1?It is a book about the various physical and mental effectsof space flight as well as things that the ship has to resist like asteroids and radiation. I've read one shapter and it is more interesting than my descriiption sounds!
The Hazards of Space Travel: A Tourist's Guide
HiJust want to see if I can get Lyon's Pride approved. Details of the books I have included in my post above.
Thanks

The goal of part B is 'normal' space travel; and, Lyon's Pride involves 'normal' space travel; therefore, Lyon's Pride is approved.
Happy reading!

It should work, the book begins on Earth and Ender travels into space.
