Why Do We Love To Blog? [no follow requests!]
I genetically can't shut up. *sniff*...so I expand my influence over the great waters into foreign lands....
LOL Jaime. I love book blogging because I have found a community of people as interested in books as I am. My friends and family are great. Many of them love books, but they tend to want to move on before I do. So maybe I have the same problem as Jaime?? :)
I personally love blogging, because since I love reading so much, I felt no one would ever listen to me when I recommended books to my friends. So finally, I thought "well, I am going to start a blog!" It's a great escape, a place for me to get out how I really feel about the books I read. And I agree, it's my blog and websites like this that help me find the people who love to read books as much as I do! :)

i just blog 'cause to me it's fun and people get to know about you through it. www.randomandbooky.blogspot.com
I love to blog mainly to keep track of what I have read, but I love it when someone decides to read (or even not read) a book based on my reviews -- feels like I helped someone out, somehow, haha.http://skyink.net
Because I love to write, problem lies with what to write, since I found goodreads its given me the power of reviews to copy and paste into the blog. every now and then (more now than then)I'll come up with something strange to post.

you took the words right out of my mouth. I read a lot and I chose to start a blog so that when I write a review I can give people a 'heads-up'. let them know if the book bombed or it was everything i hoped it wuld be...
I've been blogging about 2 months, and can't believe how much i enjoy it! I like sharing my opinion on books I've read. So far i've also hosted a giveaway and that was fun too! Here's my blog: http://readingwishes.blogspot.com
:)
It's just fun to let people know about what you think. Even though I've only been blogging for a month, it's still really, really fun. I absolutely love it!Here's mine:

I love writing - and therefore, I love blogging. I'm an aspiring writer, and most of my stuff is free on my blog (and hopefully not free forever). There's a select few short stories that I haven't added to my blog that I am trying to get published - and there's also only one excerpt from my novel (also trying to get published).I also like reading, getting other people's recommendations, comments, critiques, opinions. I'm a social writer - I don't really like doing it just for me.

I'm also (shameless plug) hosting a YA book giveaway right now, so feel free to enter that :)
Well, I realised that I understand a book better if I write it out. And as time went by, I realised that I liked helping my friends find books that suit them, and helping them realise that reading is fun(: P.s. if you have some spare time and want to comment on how my blog can be better (even grammar and spelling corrections help) I'll be really happy if you can go to www.allsortsofbooks.blogspot.com
I love to tell people about the books I read...and frankly I need to tell someone other than my adoring fiance and my mother. :) http://turningthepagesx.blogspot.com
I want to express my fond for the kind of books that really hit me...like wow! I like remembering what books I read and rereading my thoughts on them cuz I read ALOT!Kelsey @ http://kindleaffairs.blogspot.com
I don't really know why... to explore the book world because I'm not allowed outside a lot to speak with friends... *sob*http://bookwyrming-thoughts.blogspot.com/
I don't totally know why either! I think it's partly to keep track of what I've read and how I've felt about books, but also because a lot of my friends don't really like to read (*sniff*) so I don't have many people that I can talk to about books, so the blogging community is awesome because I get to connect with so many other people that have the same passion for reading that I do :) The review copies are also such a plus... :Phttp://thenovlist.blogspot.com/
I specifically started my own blog in order to give a spotlight to books that are great IMHO, but not enough people know about! (hence the name "Offbeat YA"). Also, it's my little corner of the net, where I can express myself :). Not a fan of social networks, but blogging makes me feel good.
When I first started blogging it was about the tours I skated.. I might have to explain: in the Netherlands we don't have harsh winters often, so we don't get to skate on natural ice much. As we are a skating nation, when we do get natural Ice people in the Netherlands will get on the ice, because we lovvveeee skating. After that I started blogging what ever was on my mind, then I found GR then I started reading more and more, only recently I turned it in a book blog! You can find it here: http://icequeensbookshelf.blogspot.nl/
I am an extremely opinionated person who loves the sound of my own voice, and believes that everyone else is entitled to my opinions.http://www.skjam.com
I'm not surrounded by bookish people and my blog is my place to talk about the books I love. I didn't start for the community of loyal blogger friends that I would come across but it has been an awesome side effect :-) BookishTrish @ Between the Lines
I like to blog because it makes me feel less alone on this barren rock we call a planet. xD I can talk about my life, the cool new books and authors I've discovered, rant about the horrible, and just be me, to a certain extent. I can also get (semi unbiased)opinions on these short stories I like to write.
Roberta thru to Hannah- I agree with these awesome responses to the question! Book blogging can be more expressive to some than others but often you'll find someone with the same passion! It's a supportive community & I wouldn't be without it- love it rants, debates, spoilers (well... not so much) & all XD
People over the interweb are the only people in my lives willing to listen to me wax poetic about books...
I have just started blogging because I felt like I read so much and so many things, and that I have a lot of things that I wanted to write about. I almost only blog about books on my blog (at least so far) but with time I may post a bit more of other stuff too.I just like to have an outlet for my thoughts.
I love to blog because it gives me a chance to let out all of what is swarming in my mind, to people who actually do care! The blogging community is absolutely wonderful, and I feel like with every post I write, I learn something new about myself. And with every post I read, I make new friends who share the same passion as I do!The Humble Watermelon
I love to blog because not only do I love to read. It allows me to write in some form. I must write like I must breathe! I want to be a writer so I can connect with other writers, and readers. I'm just starting in the blogosphere but I love it!
As authors we "could" blog about our books...its more fun to talk about those crazy, "real" things that happen in one's life however. We're so busy that we're bound to run into life's funniest moments, and get to share it with others. www.jandcwordsmiths@wordpress.com
I love sharing my thoughts on books whether it's a bad or good feeling. I have steadily gotten better at writing reviews and its just something fun to do. My blog is http://spantaliansbookreviews.blogspo...
I love to blog because it's a way to share my love for reading with everyone and it's a way to get more people to be interested in reading as well! :)I also love to share my opinions on the books I've read whether they are good or bad and it's a fun way to find more books to read! (:
My blog: http://ps-withlove.blogspot.com
my blogs are my little corners on the internet. they allow me to express myself without (too much) restrictions. and I've met a lot of great people through them.
Blogging allows me to express the feelings I have about books, which I can't really share with the people around me. It is exciting and enables me to meet even more awesome people.
There are quite a few reasons why I love to blog. I love to share my opinion, discuss books and share with others new books and occasionally games.I also love to read others blogs on things like bloglovin. It's nice to know that there is someone out there that shares a similar interest to you. It's also a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends :-)
I'm going through something of a revamp on why I blog. Originally it was just to update people on what I was writing, plans made etc. Now, I'm thinking of using blogging to prompt debate and discussion on writing and the novels themselves. We'll see how it pans out :).
When i finish reading a book, i'm generally on a book high. And i love endlessly ranting about it. And i thought why not share it with everybody? With all the other book lovers out there. So i guess the reason why i love to blog is because i love the connection, the buzz, the sense of belonging.
When i get a character in my mind, It just wants to come alive. It screams in my head till I tell it what is going to happen to it in its life. I generally do not give names to my characters, otherwise they get attached to me. Then it becomes difficult to kill them or do means things with their lives. http://inandoutwithme.blogspot.in
I think I love blogging a lot because I have a lot of opinions after reading a book and I love sharing them. Most people I know don't like reading so they don't really listen when I rant about a book. With my blog I can rant about books and people will listen to me. I love reading books so much and blogging is also really fun.
I kind of love that this group isn't all about follow request because that's not why I blog! I blog for fun, and to share my love of reading with as many people as possible!! :D
For me initially it was mainly to keep a log of the books I read. Now I also love looking at other bloggers and love being inspired / find new books to read
I have two reasons really.1. To review most of the books that I've read, so that one day, I can go back and look them over and remember my initial feelings about the book. Writing about a book also helps me remember a book more clearly as well as work out my thoughts about it.
2. To get a following so that one day, if I ever finish a novel, I'll have some people willing to take a look at it. :P
I have decided to put up my blog because I wanted that the reviews I write to look pretty and aligned the way I like. And I can do that now :) That was the shallow reason.
The second reason is that it's a sort of therapy. I'm trying to build up confidence, I'm trying to develop my own writing/reviewing style. I'm a very shy person and it can be crippling at times. But this is helping me to push beyond that :)
I started my blog so I had a way to track my challenges. I'm really new to reading so have a lot of books to catch up on and I'm hoping these challenges will help me achieve this. I also hope to meet like minded people who enjoying reading the sort of books I do :)
I love spreading the joy of reading. If I tell people my thoughts on a book, they might/might not read it. I want to interest people into reading something. I want to tell them what might happen, so they will know what to expect, and help decide if the book is for them.

I love being able to share my opinions on books. I feel that I can be a little bit more verbose on my blog and really express what I have to say. I'm also enjoying connecting with a lot of different people over it. It's been pretty awesome hearing that someone read something because of one of my posts.
