I am looking for a science fiction book set in the future post an apocalypse that left the Earth uninhabited. Two alien cat people settle into a place called "the institute" that had automated computers that give google like information on everything. The cat people accidentally activate a fertility area and end up with 2 human babies that they raise separately in separate areas of the institute. I think they are named Nina and Sven. They finally meet each other as teenagers and realize they are not alone. I read this book maybe 15 years ago. I would love it if anyone has any idea what it is called.
