Lisarenee | 7659 comments I just got an iPhone what applications should I download? So far I downloaded Goodreads Book Scanner and the Goodreads Apps. I also downloaded Shazam which can be used to identify songs being played on the radio and it's absolutely free. Yay! I'm so bad and naming songs.

Rachel (treychel) | 1484 comments I'm terrible at naming songs too. I need that app!

You play games on the IPhone? Angry Birds is fun! :)

My boyfriend used to have this one that looked like a slot machine for restaurants. You shook it and it told you where to eat at. Gave you kind of food and price point too. I don't remember the name of it, but we used it a lot!

Shadow Jubilee (uhqs) My favorite and best used app is Awesome Note but it's not free. I believe it is $4.99. I also have Stanza, which is free and good for reading epub files; Bluefire, which is free and good for reading epub, PDF, and DRM'ed epub files; and the Kindle for iPhone app for my ebook reading needs. I also like the Merriam-Webster dictionary app for when I have a forgetful moment and need to find a word or definition. The NYTimes app is also not too bad since you can save favorite articles to read later. Another nifty app is called Instapaper which allows you to save anything online to read later. Dropbox is also free. You can save files such as your ebooks and access it anywhere. If you don't already have an account, you can create one here.

As for games, I am currently enjoying Cleopatra's Pyramid. It was free when I had downloaded it but don't know if that lasted. I also really enjoy the Cut the Rope games. The frog is so cute disappointed when I miss his waiting mouth and the candy falls. lol.

Lisarenee, the Goodreads App has a book scanner already packaged in there so I don't think you need the Goodreads Book Scanner app.

Lisarenee | 7659 comments I'll have to investigate the Goodreads App. I didn't know it had a scanner in it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) KINDLE FOR IPHONE. Seriously, it's actually much easier to read on the thing than you'd think, and now you can stand in line all day and not care. Also the audio book app from audible.com. Although I listen to them on iPod as well.

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Lisarenee - I use Shazam all the time! I actually had to upgrade and pay for the one that lets you do unlimited songs.

I also use Goodreads all the time. I have the Harry Potter Scene it (have to pay, I think its 2.99 or 1.99) and I play when I get bored. I also have a Twitter app (I don't tweet but I follow lots of authors), The Weather Channel - use it a lot, Flixter - awesome for movie times, PerezHilton - check it allll the time, I'm a celeb gossip freak lol

Pretty much everything else is more like games and stuff but I definitely recommend TWC and Flixter if those interest you.

I have a Skeeball app that is really fun and addicting, also Deal or No Deal which is super fun too. I think they were both free.
