Yeah... Strange explanation, I know. But it's like the Soarin' Over California ride at Disneyland's California Adventure park, if you've ever been there.

I want to go every where! France, Italy, the other side of the US (lol), Indonesia, Egypt, Brazil, Peru, Hawaii, Iceland, Greenland, you get the point!
@ Jessica's picture
awesome!!!!!! That looks like so much fun!

Ooooo Indonesia sounds like fun!

I really hope it happens. I really, really, think it would be fun.
Oh my gosh! Y'll are so lucky!

I'll share mine: I'm spending a weekend in Las Vegas soon for my cousin's 21st birthday, and another weekend there later in the summer for my baby cousin's baptism.
Also later this summer, I've got a weekend in Los Angeles, CA and a week in New Mexico planned.
That sounds like so much fun Taylor :)
Later this year (October) my family are going up to Queensland for two weeks, and we're staying in a luxury resort in Palm Cove. We'll probably visit The Great Barrier Reef while we're there :D

Oooooooh, the Great Barrier Reef! That's been on my list of Things I Must See for AGES. That'll be wonderous!

And I too would love to see the Great Barrier Reef. It sounds amazing.
I know that this is off-topic, but Jess and other Australians, New Zealanders, etc. do you believe you live in Australia (the continent) or Oceania?

Well, not really, but I want to travel Europe and Australia. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Canada either.

And Ireland is pretty awesome. I went there last summer and loved it.

That may only apply to me though.

Hmm....I believe I live its Oceania.

I totally understand what you mean.

Having been to Africa, I absolutely agree. For me, it's the issue of us having so much and them having nothing. It's hard to reconcile.
Vacation-wise, I think I'm heading back up to Oregon for a few weeks over the summer. My grandparents and cousins live in a little tiny town and it's gorgeous up there. And I would love to go to Europe someday.

Thank you.

I understand exactly what you mean, but I think that this article has a very interesting contrary view.
I also feel compelled to point out that we tend to think of Africa as one unit, when it is, in fact, many countries. Would you not go to England because there is a revolution going on in Germany, or people are starving in the countryside? If it's a matter of poverty, there are plenty of people all over the world, including in the US, in just as extreme poverty as anyone in Africa, and if it's because of violence, that violence is not everywhere in Africa.
Anyway, just giving my opinion. (Having never gone to Africa, of course, so it's probably not a very fair one)

Staying in a rich retreat while outside the walls people are suffering and living in extreme poverty.
But then, Kate is right when she says that you'll find violence and poverty everywhere. There just may be more of it in certain places. Or maybe it is just more of an obvious contrast in the continents of South America or Africa.
It is a hard question.
Well I am definately glad that I am staying in the country, because after THAT conversation, it would be hard to enjoy a vacation in certain countries. I am going to a lake (in West Virginia, you know like the most unexpected place in the States to find big, pretty lakes. But they are there and very pretty!) then there's 2 summer camps, but they're just an hour from my house sooo....nothing really super-exciting.

Sharmaine, Paris is magnificent.
I was there for 9 days late last year, and trust me, you wont find time to shop...

I have no idea.....um....summersville? Maybe? I only know that it starts with a 's'

Wait! I remember now. Sutton lake! :)
The only bad part is that it's a 5&1/2 hour drive, plus to get there from my house you travel on toll roads. :( but other than that, very awesome. Never seen the Ohio river, but it can't be much worse than the Yadkin...ugh!
