Crystal | decorating.reader (decoratingreader) Can someone please help me out with using Calibre?? I have several books that people have sent me that don't have covers so I edited on Calibre but when I open the books there is no change. What am I doing wrong? And also if I get books from someone that do not work can they be fixed? Thanks for any help.

An obvious question, but did you delete the book from your Nook and resend it with Calibre?

If the reason the books don't work is they have DRM, the only way to fix it it to strip the DRM, which is possible but not legal.

Crystal | decorating.reader (decoratingreader) Yes and even when I open it on Calibre it doesnt show the cover I downloaded but the one that I thought I got rid of. But when I pull it up to edit again it shows all my new updates I made.

Hmmm, perhaps email the guy who does Calibre and ask him?

Duchess Nicole | 81 comments Have you tried changing the edition of the book? Like when you go to download metadata and it sometimes gives you a few different editions with different publishers and different dates?

Jerry (jersysman) | 53 comments Usually if you just convert the book again with Calibre, it rebuilds the ebook and this will correct the cover issue. There is also a way in Calibre to explode the epub. Doing this will allow you to change the cover that is on there with one that you want (even if it is the same cover). You just have to remember to rebuild the epub when done.

I hope I make sense. If not, you can message me and I could go more in depth.
