message 301: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments ((haha thanks Ev! Do y'all watch Korra? XD ))

message 302: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments ((Wow, I thought for sure she wouldn't let him see them until the main event. O_o ))

Jordan looked like he was struggling to figure out how to react to Cai's statement. He was also trying very hard not to look at Saffy. Finally he managed to speak. "Those dresses are pretty fancy," he said, rather lamely. "How much did you spend on them?"

message 303: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Not too much, actually." She was trying to frown in a disapproving manner at Cai, but she couldn't help but giggle a little bit at the look on Jordan's face.

message 304: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "Um, yeah," Jordan agreed. "Speaking of which, when do we have to be there again? And are we gonna be playing as our 'band' or what? I was never quite clear on that whole band thing..."

message 305: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Yeah, but we have invites to the ball. The music festival is just for our cover."

message 306: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "Kay, cool. Just checking." Jordan stretched languorously. "So, team leader, do we have a game plan for the ball night?"

((I can't remember -- is the ball that night or the next or what? And when should Jordan get his tux?

Also, the 'team leader' is Saffy.))

message 307: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Go in, get the information, and then dance a bit. Do try not to start an international incident."

message 308: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "Only if you don't get caught," Jordan corrected her. "Getting caught is not fun." Then he grinned, suddenly. "So, Saf, can we start an incident if we promise to not get caught?"

message 309: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments She groaned in exasperation and buried her head in her arms. "No! No international incidents, period. Am I the ONLY sane person here?!"

message 310: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments ((YEAH! Let's go, new team Avatar!))

"Of course not," Jordan said, grinning at her. "If you were sane, you wouldn't have signed up for this job in the first place."

message 311: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "You're right. No one in their right minds would volunteer to babysit you two." Because that's pretty much what she seemed to be doing: trying to get a job done while making sure the other two didn't blow up the world or something.

message 312: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "He was sane enough before you got here." she said, jerking a thumb at Jordan. "You are a very bad influence on people." She meant it as a sort-of joke, but it was rather true.

message 313: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "You're calling the boy who tried to break into Fort Knox for fun sane," Jordan mused. "But I agree - Cai is a very bad influence."

((So, what exactly is it about the ball that makes kids necessary to infiltrate instead of adults?))

message 314: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments ((oh, I don't know.))

"A gift to whom?" Saffy muttered, irritated.

message 315: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments Jordan yawned and got up. "Whatever, guys. I think I've practiced my quips enough on you two without going on longer." He aimed carefully over Saffy's head and then tossed his paella container into the trash. "Are we doing anything else interesting today?" ((What time is it?))

message 316: by Dovewing (last edited Jul 13, 2012 04:18PM) (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "No," she told Jordan, ducking even though she knew the trash wouldn't hit her. "Not really. Just settling in, and checking in with our handlers to let them know we're ok. I know they were really upset that they had to send us without adults, but they couldn't get into the country. Legally, that is." She ignored Cai's comment.

message 317: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments Jordan checked the clock. "Should we be going to bed soon or something?"

message 318: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Probably. I'll just go call campus, be right back." She walked out into the hallway, where there was better cell phone service.

message 319: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "So responsible," Jordan called after her teasingly as he settled back onto the bed.

message 320: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "I heard that!" she called back over her shoulder. She made the call to campus, going over everything with their handler again.

message 321: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments Jordan smiled deviously as the leaned back onto the pillows. "We meant you to."

((And then the sun went down on our three young heroes as they talked and laughed into the night.))

message 322: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments ((sounds good to me.))

Saffy stretched as she woke, twisting from side to side to crack her back along with some other joints.

message 323: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "I'm glad you decided not to. We still need him for the mission, so smothering him would be bad." She went over to the kitchenette and started to make herself a cup of tea.

message 324: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "You really shouldn't, and if you were to do it you shouldn't be asking me, because you know I wouldn't cover it up for you. In fact, I would probably tell on you. Miss Responsibility ought to live up to her title, oughtn't she?" She grinned at Cai and sipped her tea.

message 325: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Oh, alright." She said, keeping a fake air of disapproval and haughtiness around her.

message 326: by Bobbie (last edited Aug 15, 2012 11:37AM) (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments Jordan awoke with a sudden splutter and dove off his bed onto Cai. For someone who had been asleep up until a moment before, he moved remarkably quickly and soon had Cai on the floor, both arms twisted behind her back and his knee between her shoulder blades. Jordan blinked water out of his eyes and then shook his head like a wet dog, sending water flying all over the room.

((Sorry about making Cai get beat up like that; I figured that she would let him do that as well as be taken slightly by surprise by how suddenly he acted. Also, I think that Jordan is supposed to be the strongest and fastest out of the three? That is his specialty, at least. Also, he's a boy, and boys are stronger then girls generally.))

message 327: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments ((Also, Ev, Edgeview?))

message 328: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments Saffy brushed water droplets off of where they had landed on her. "What do you two want for breakfast? We don't exactly have any food in the kitchenette, so we'll have to go out."

message 329: by Bobbie (last edited Aug 21, 2012 04:36PM) (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "I'm considering it," Jordan told Cai, sounding cross. With his hair half sticking up and half drooping with water, he resembled a grumpy bear roused early from hibernation. "Why'd you have to wake me up so early?" He groaned and flopped to the side of the Irish girl, letting his cheek rest on the carpet. "I don't care what food you get," he said with his eyes closed. "Just get me some coffee before I die. Or before I kill Cai, which is way more likely."

message 330: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments Jordan snorted. "Any time before noon is early," he muttered into the floor.

message 331: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "Stoppit." Jordan raised his hand and and knocked Cai's away, not moving any other part of his body.

((Wow, Jordan's got a really bad mood in the morning...))

message 332: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Don't kill her, she decided not to kill you. How do you like your coffee? Black, cream, sugar...?" Saffy ignored the bickering, instead focusing on breakfast. Cai could deal with Mr. Grumpypants.

message 333: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Wasn't asking you, Cai."

message 334: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "You already had coffee."

message 335: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments "Don't let her," Jordan mumbled into the floor. "Gimme lots of sugar. But no milk or anything."

message 336: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments Saffy nodded and spooned sugar into his mug. "Here you go." She handed it to him, ignoring Cai other than to say "No."

message 337: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments Jordan raised his torso off the ground enough to reach for the coffee Saffy handed him, then lowered it back down as he sipped at it. He gave Cai a superior glance and slurped some more at his coffee. "Evil girls who wake up innocent boys early don't get coffee."

message 338: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "She got her own coffee earlier, I'm not about to give her another mug. You are far from innocent."

message 339: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments Jordan downed the rest of his coffee with a loud slurp. "What are you talking about? I am so innocent." He smirked widely and got to his feet, heading towards the coffeepot. "Scuse me, Miss Responsibility," he said as he reached for the handle.

message 340: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "So, food preferences for breakfast? Neither of you actually said what you wanted." she said as she stepped out of his way.

message 341: by Dovewing (new)

Dovewing | 270 comments "Alright. I'll be back soon, don't kill each other while I'm gone." She grabbed her purse and headed to the door.

message 342: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie (bobbiesquares) | 115 comments ((Wow, sorry it's been so long, guys!! >n< ))

Jordan raised an eyebrow at Cai at Saffy's last comment. "Get some jam and butter, too," he yelled after the disappearing girl. Humming quietly, he turned back to his coffee and carefully fixed himself another mug.
