Barbara ★ I'm doing the read-a-thon today. Started reading 8 am this morning with the second story by Gena Showalter from Deep Kiss of Winter.

message 52: by Pansy (new)

Pansy Thanks Jess. I wrote ya back. I am not sure about how to do a thread.

message 53: by Pansy (new)

Pansy I got up this morning at 7:00 am to start reading. Got coffee, check, glasses, check, blankie, check, and dog by my side. OOps, forgot the book.

Jess | 3721 comments Pansy I sent you a message, hopefully it will help.

Nairabell | 87 comments Is anyone interested in pairing up with me to do a readathon at some point between Aug 2 and 16? I definitely need a buddy. I'm in the UK but I'm not a morning person so I'm happy to buddy up with non-UK peeps :)

Jacy (jazabell) | 214 comments I'm going to do my RAT on Aug. 20th and 21st. I don't know what I'm going to read, but I think I'm just going to go through my TBR list and clear out the books I have on hand.

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 32 comments Okay I've finally figured out when I can do it. I'm going to do 12 hours over the course of two days. I am going to start tonight at midnight, and go until noon tomorrow. If I feel capable of completing a full 24 hours I'll post it. Otherwise I will be doing another 12 hours starting at midnight on Thursday until noon on Friday.

My dates are 8/9 and 8/12.

I will be trying to complete Dead Beautiful by Yvonne Woon and Covet by J.R. Ward. As well as reading The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa, The Mephisto Covenant by Trinity Faegan and Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin.

Dead Beautiful (Dead Beautiful, #1) by Yvonne Woon Covet (The Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4) by Julie Kagawa The Mephisto Covenant (The Mephisto Covenant, #1) by Trinity Faegen Once Bitten, Twice Shy (Jaz Parks, #1) by Jennifer Rardin

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Ok I finally see a big block of time in my future!
My dates will be Aug 14 and 21.
Not sure what books I will read but I have a huge TBR pile sitting at home waiting for me so I will choose from there.

Wow Sarah not sure I could do a straight 24!

message 63: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 32 comments I didn't think I would be able to either. I have an hour left before it's 12 hours and I know I wouldn't make it 24. I'm going to finish my 24 hours on Friday.

message 64: by Lenore (new)

Lenore (lenorenrr) | 205 comments Is it too late to join? I seriously need to catch up on my reading and this might be just what I need!

I think I am going to do August 10 and 11. The goal is 12 total hours? Can I do it? Gonna try!!

I'd like to read these books:
Blood Cursed (Shadowfae Chronicles, #4) by Erica Hayes Wolfsbane (Nightshade #2) by Andrea Cremer The Underworld (Fallen Star #2) by Jessica Sorensen Secrets To Seducing A Scot by Michelle Marcos

And if I have time:
Dead on the Delta (Annabelle Lee, #1) by Stacey Jay One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress, #6) by Jeaniene Frost Working Stiff (Revivalist, #1) by Rachel Caine Wings of Fire (World of Ascension, #3) by Caris Roane

Jess | 3721 comments Awesome ladies, can't wait to hear about how your read-a-thons turn out!

Lenore - definitely not too late. Have fun!

message 66: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 32 comments 12 hours really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But it got harder to read so much, I wasn't reading as quick as usual. Hopefully I'll be more prepared for next time.

message 67: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments I think there's something about feeling like you "have" to read. Sometimes I think it slows you down or makes you feel obligated.

message 68: by Lenore (new)

Lenore (lenorenrr) | 205 comments Well I had planned to participate today, but why is it every time you have something to do "for yourself" a ton of things just pop up from nowhere? Anyways, I may try to do as much as I can today but who knows :(

message 69: by Nairabell (new)

Nairabell | 87 comments I think I'll be doing a readathon tomorrow and maybe Friday as two lots of 12 hours. My kid sister just brought me all the Harry Potter books so I want to get my August books read before I start those.

message 70: by Lenore (new)

Lenore (lenorenrr) | 205 comments I am just knocking down my hours a little. I'm going to go for 6 total hours over 2-3 days staring yesterday.

I got 2 hours read yesterday. Woot!
