Ok well basically this book is about aliens called Souls that come to earth and are implanted in humans brains. Once they are in the brain they can take over the hosts body and use it as their own. The humans are pretty much losing but there are some left. There is an underground camp where some of the remaining humans live. When a Soul is implanted in the humans brain the human is basically gone but some humans have been known to fight, and by that I mean when the Soul gets put inside them they are still there and at random times can gain control back of their body but this rarely happens. There is only on cure for getting rid of Souls from a human, but no one knows how, that is except for the Souls. The humans have tried but always fail and end up killing both the Soul and the human.
