Arienna | 209 comments You aren't terrible! Everybody has their own opinions. *smiles oh-so-kindly-and-forgivingly*

I didn't know she was pregnant! Oh, that makes it so much worse! *runs to a corner and buries head in fuzzy unicorn pillow pet, sobbing*

message 402: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Yes, she was having their baby and then he DIED. Suzanne Collins, you're a cruel meany!

*Sobs while holding her Yuki plushy to her chest*

message 403: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments I AGREE!! Wait, she was actually HAVING the baby when he died! Oh NO! *throws herself on the floor with fuzzy unicorn pillow pet, sobbing uncontrollably* Finnick would have made such a good daddy! *sob*

message 404: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid No, no, I didn't mean that! She wasn't having it. She was only a few months along, but she going to have it.

I know! He'd be a wonderful dad!

message 405: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Oooohhh, okay. *sighs in relief, tosses now soaked fuzz unicorn pillow pet into dryer*

Haha, his kids would have been great at tying knots! XP

message 406: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid His kids would be good at everything.

message 407: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments *gasp* you're right! But honestly, I think that Peeta would be the best dad. Gale's just...not like that.

message 408: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I agree on you with that. Gale's too... wild and rebellious? He just wouldn't have that sweet patience a dad like Peeta would have.

message 409: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Yeah. Gale wouldn't have the patience to deal with a little kid. But I can totally imagine Peeta sitting with two little kids on his knees, frosting a cake!

message 410: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Bahaha! I love the mental picture I have of that right now. Beautiful!

message 411: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments He would say to one "okay, now you do the purple swirly" and to the other one "and you do the green vines, and I'll do the huge elaborate flower on top!"

message 412: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid It's such a happy-making thought! And Katniss as a mom? She'd be good after she got over her nervousness of it.

message 413: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Yeah, even though that might take a while. I can see her being very protective, and teaching her kids how to hunt, even if they don't need to for food.

message 414: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Mhmm! She's so different from Peeta, so it'd be a very interesting family and it would be balanced.

message 415: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Thats for sure.

What did you think of Boggs? I liked him, he was so sweet.

message 416: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid He was the one who figured out that the second arena was like a clock, right?

I remember liking him quite a bit.

message 417: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments No, I think that was someone else. Boggs wasn't in the arena. He lead the mission in the last book, but then he died and put Katniss in charge. ),:

message 418: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Right, right! Yes, I remember him now. I didn't like him all that much, but he was nice. I didn't dislike him, he just didn't leave that much of an impression. I'd need to reread the books to be sure though.

message 419: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments I cried when he died. (If you haven't noticed yet, I cry quite easily, so don't take offense if I randomly burst into tears on you.)

message 420: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid No, I cry ALL the time. It's almost embarrassing how much I cry. Music makes me cry, books make me cry, and movies make me cry.

message 421: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments *gasp* A fellow crier! Music, books, movies, plays, even just talking can make me cry! And you are right, it gets kinda embarrassing.

message 422: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Do you ever cry when someone hugs you? That happens to me way too often. If someone will randomly give me a gentle hug, I'll get all teary eyed.

message 423: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Oh yes!!! Especially if its one of my really close friends, or one of my really good guy friends. The thing is, they see me crying, then hug me again, which, of course, just makes me cry more.

31 posts. Not reading them all. Hey. So, when Annie is first introduced, it's said that she has some sort of mental issue. but she seems totally normal, when we actually meet her!!!

message 425: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Ya, your right. But there are times when she acts all scared and freaked out. Didn't they say something about her getting over it? Maybe not...

message 426: by Katerina, Mother Gothel's Cake (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 2740 comments Mod
Maybe it's just Finnick

message 427: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I'm pretty sure that she was in the Arena once and was chosen to go again for the quarter quell. Finnick volunteered himself. I think Annie was really frightened and confused after the games and with Finnick going. I'm pretty sure that after Finnick came back alive, and they were working to doing away with the games, things were easier for her.

message 428: by Katerina, Mother Gothel's Cake (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 2740 comments Mod
No, the old lady volunteered to replace Annie

message 429: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Oh, I forgot then. I must admit, the second and third book were a bit of a blur for me.

message 430: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Way, I think you're right (and Klym). I loved the wedding scene! And the part when Finnick and Annie first see each other after a long time...*sigh* <3

message 431: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid *Doesn't remember any of those parts in detail...*

message 432: by Arienna (last edited Nov 30, 2011 08:37AM) (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Oh. They were so sweet...

Uugghh. My mom is reading them now, to be sure that they're "okay for us to read" even though she knows that we've all already read them. I just know that this is going to lead to a big huge family discussion about the moral quality of THG. *blech*

message 433: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I don't like it when my parents read books that I read out of curiosity. Usually it isn't bad, it's just I know they won't enjoy them. They aren't fantasy, science fiction fans.

And they absolutely hate that I would even want to read something called a comic book.

Katerina (klymene) | 2740 comments Mod
My mom thinks Furuba is a comic book. It's so annoying.

So, when I was going through "that phase" I found more and more gory, actiony books. I went to the books about magic. See, my sister, she's interested in Romance. She's going into the Romance grey area. Ew.

My mom didn't want us to read Harry Potter. But then, it went like this:

1. Drive in Theatre: Half blood prince
2. Me: reading books at school
3. Dad brings home Harry potter and Goblet of Fire.
4. Me: obsessing and describing all the details
5. Dad: puts 2 and 2 together. Oh. I read the books. No Duh
6. Dad goes and tells mom.
7. Mom has a talk with me.
8. I bs everthing.
9. Dani has a reading competition based on the number of pages read.
10. Mom asks if the HP books would help her win
11. I say yes (it didn't. She still got 2nd)
12. Mom makes a list of rules, and then Harry Potter is allowed at home.

message 435: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid That's like my parents. They're all like, "I don't know if you should be reading comics. Especially the Japanese ones. Maybe you should read some Dickens or Austen or Bronte. Improve your mind."

And I'm just like ARGHHH. For the first half of my life I ONLY read classics to improve my mind. So, let me read teen novels for a few years before I return to classics!

That's... a pretty intense battle.

I thought it was lame. She was protecting me from something that wasn't even dangerous. She did the whole witchcraft doesn't equal God spiel on me

message 437: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments Yikes, Klym. My parents aren't that bad. They usually let us read the books in the end. Or they don't read them until after we've all read them (my 3 sisters and I).

Can you believe that they did it with Max Ride? My mom just opened up randomly in one of the books to a part with Max and Fang, and then she's all "I can't believe you read this! I asked you if there was anything bad about these books and you said No! Now I don't know if I can trust you anymore!" ARRRRGGGGHHH!

Welllll, I read Twilight. My mom was so disappointed. And the books were so stupid anyways!

message 439: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments I haven't read Twilight or watched it. From what I hear, they aren't worth it. Is that true? (and I'm guessing that my parents wouldn't be to happy about me reading them either...)

message 440: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I read the first one and my mom did too. We weren't that impressed.

message 441: by Katerina, Mother Gothel's Cake (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 2740 comments Mod
Yeah, it really isn't worth it. But it is worth it to know what everyone is obsessed about. I like to keep up-to-date with that people are obsessing about. I mean, average teens. People who barely read and prefer to watch tv

Wait... Yuki plushy?! They exist?!

message 443: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments LOL. Thats for sure. Sometimes its hard when they all start talking about something like that, and I have no clue whats going on.

message 444: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid They exist, but I don't actually have one. I wish I did...

Bahahaha! I love the Shigure one.

message 448: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments I have to say, the Yuki one is my favorite... or the little girl. Tohru?

message 449: by Arienna (new)

Arienna | 209 comments BTW, isn't there supposed to be a Hunger Games topic going on here?

message 450: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Yup, that's her name!
But I'm glad you like the Yuki one. Ooh, look at this one:
