My first JP book was My Sister's Keeper. :) I've read quite a few of her books, next on my list is Change of Heart. I tried reading Salem Falls but I didn't finish it...

Wow, a lot of people's first Jodi Picoult book was My Sister's Keeper. As for me, it was The Pact that got me hooked into Jodi Picoult. Oh, and I'm new. So hello everyone! :)
My first JP book was My Sisters Keeper and I could not put it down! I loved it and it got me hooked on her books. i have since recommended her to anyone who is asking for a good author to read.
My first JP book was harvesting the Heart and I was a little disapointed with the ending of the book but it also left me hungry for more... and now I'm hooked.I use swaptree.com which is similar to bookmooch but you can also trade dvds, cds, and games. And I've been really happy with all my trades.
My first JP novel was Mercy... I really enjoyed the book but have to admit I was disappointed that the ending was so predictable. Fortunately, I listened to the comments from this group and tried Nineteen Minutes... I've been hooked on JP ever since!
My first book was Harvesting the Heart followed by The Plain Truth and I too was hooked and I continue to stay hooked! Ironically before reading these two books I took The Pact out of the library but couldn't get past the first chapter because of the pact need I say more. However, I eventually went on to read it, loved it and passed it on to my sister who still maintains no book has been better from Jodi Picoult or any other author!
Same story here. Recently, my sister told me Jodi Picoult just came out with a new book as someone at her daughter's daycare was reading it. I rushed to the book store and no new book. After she explained the cover I realized it was Handle with Care, needless to say I was not a happy camper and I continue to wait!
My first was My Sister's Keeper, like many of you. My mother and sister wanted me to read it, and ever since, I have been hooked on her books. I keep trying to read them whenever I can, so much that my mother isnt sure if it is healthy that i read too many sad books. But I think sad books are my favorite kind of books, if that doesnt sound wrong.

My first Jodi Picoult book was Keeping Faith. I remember being really intrigued when I read the storyline on the back cover... I've been hooked on Picoult books ever since. :)

I've read MSK and Nineteen Minutes so far, Change of Heart and Handle With Care are on my shelf, which one should I read next?
I'm reading HWC right now. I'll have to start Plain Truth pretty soon considering I got it from the library today and I can't afford overdue fines.
Nineteen Minutes was my first and I was instantly addicted. Plain Truth would have also hooked me in as a JP fan.
my first was 'my sister's keeper' which tortured me. so amazing. but i think that after the first few, the stories start getting predictable with all of the twists and the craziness.

Me too.
The first JP book I read was My Sister's Keeper. It was amazing! That's what got me reading all the other Jodi Picoult books.
My Sister's Keeper was my first Jodi Picoult book. I adored it! I have since read Plain Truth, Vanishing Acts, and Nineteen Minutes. I loved all of them. I have to say that Nineteen Minutes is my favorite so far. Absolutely Amazing - I never thought I would be able to sympathize with the shooter!I have purchased all of Jodi's other books, just need to get around to reading them!

Plus one never really thinks of the implications school shootings have on the shooter's family.
My first book was My Sister's Keeper. When the movie came out I was interested in it until a friend who saw the movie told me that the ending was disapointing since it was different from the book. That had me interested in the book and I decided that I'd read it before seeing the movie as well. Now I know what they were talking about. From there I read The Pact and moved onto other books that were not written by Jodi Picoult. The next book from her on my list is Nineteen Minutes, and you guys have me really interested now!
I am currently reading My Sister's Keeper and it is my first one by her. I am interested to read the rest eventually though. I was dumb though. I read the spoilers for this book (I've seen the movie and knew the ending was different) so now I ruined the ending for myself (well at least I know that Anna died but I don't know how / what from). I have a bad habit of doin that. :(

Do you know if the families have been interviewed?
Newbie here,i just read nineteen minutes and I'm hungry for more.
Thanks to you all, I'm going to hunt for MSK, Pact, and the Plain Truth next.
I want to read My Sister's Keeper but I have watched the movie already and I couldn't stop crying. Since books tend to be better than the movies, I think I'll leave it for a rainy day.
My first was My Sister's Keep as well. I read it in a day and a half...and fell in love with Jodi's writing! I have very quickly read most of her books and am on a waiting list to read the rest.

The movie SUCCCKED compared to the book. The ending of the book was much better then the ending to the movie...I strongly suggest reading the book!! I sobbed through most of the book though!
My first JP book with Keeping Faith and I've been hooked ever since! The friend that introduced me to her hasn't like all of her books, but she has read them all and I plan to as well. Love her story-telling!
My Sisters Keeper was the first after it was featured on s daytime TV show here in the UK on their book club.
When i first heard about the movie My Sister's Keeper, I made sure I read the book first. After that I keep buying her novels!
19 minutes and I loved it. Have since read the tenth circle, my sisters keeper, Vanishing Acts, the pact, Salem falls, perfect match. And have a few on my tbr of hers
My Sister's Keeper was the first Picoult book that I read. I'm seldom a crier, but this book did get tears.I yelled "NO" out loud in horror and dismay when I got to the twist. That was a first and only event. When I lent the book to a friend, she was reading it during the Steeler's Superbowl game. Her husband looked up to see tears streaming down her face, and very confused, asked her:"Why are you crying? The Steelers are winning"
The Pact--I totally fell in love with this book and with Jodi. It is still my favorite of her books and one of my favorites overall.
I was also totally hooked after "My Sister's Keeper" and "The Pact" -- I teach, so this story really hit home with me. One of the students at my school had just committed suicide and she was only in the 8th grade. Anyhow ... JP just grabs you and fleshes out her characters and you are hooked ... even reading her stories where some of the protagonists are not worthy of anyone's caring ("Change of Heart").
My first book was Nineteen MinutesIt was recommended to me by chapters in a newsletter.
So different than anything I've ever read , so glad I gave Picoult a chance and have since then read 6 of her books and cannot wait for Sing You Home to be released.
My first was Nineteen Minutes. We lived in Littleton when Columbine happened so I was very interested to read it and it did not disappoint! Since then I have read My Sister's Keeper, which I loved, and The Pact, which was not that great. Any suggestions on the next one I should read?
