movie casting yay or nay

i searched google images for photoshopped pictures of the lead actors as their characters in the movie. josh hutcherson looks dumb as peeta. jennifer lawrence looks just about right even if most people think shes too old. oh well we'll see
liam hemsworth as Gale looks way creepy and much too old

I'll give each actors a fair chance-day by day Josh Hutcherson is becoming Peeta for me. He wasn't even the slightest image of Peeta that I imagined when I read the books but by the time I knew it, I'm now referring to the character as Peeta ~Hutcherson.
Maybe it's because of his new blonde hair or the peeta-kindness that seems embarked on his features. idek.

Clearly the actors just don't fit the characters. Katniss needs a cold, hungry, desperate fire in her eyes, as does Gale. Peeta needs to look nicer and friendlier.

I hate the casting. I mean, Liam as Gale. Really? I've pictured Gale as a beautiful hunter with brown, medium length hair. And Liam is just the opposite of it all. And then Peeta. I wanted Alex Pettyfer to play Peeta. Without all his tattoos, ofcourse. I think Josh is a creep.
And then there's Jennifer as Katniss. I don't know. I guess she's not that bad. I mean, first I thought she was horrible, with her blonde hair and stuff, but I think she could possibly play Katniss without me yelling at the TV that she doesn't deserve to play Katniss.
So. That's what I'm thinking about the casting.
I am happy with the casting.And I'm thankful Kristin Stewart, Alex Pettyfer or any Fanning weren't cast.
I don't know that they can go wrong when Suzanne Collins has such a hand in the casting and the script. I'm so excited for this movie!
I get sooooo annoyed how people don't like the cast because they don't look like what they pictured them to look! I would think that people would care more about their acting skills 'cause the casting director can't pop into your head and think, "Oh, so this is how so-and-so thinks the person should look! I'll have to keep that in mind when I'm casting for the role." No!!!!!!! Alex Pettyfer is not as good an actor as Josh and Jennifer was nominated for the Academy Awards best actress! Geez! Sorry I'm ranting about this, but it makes me sooooooooooo angry!!!!

i dont know why but i like josh as peeta. liam as gale not so much or jen for kattniss, well at least until she died her hair and all that

mmmm, I'm kinda ify on all of them. i think they should swap peeta and gale's actors. Peeta can be a lot cuter though, i mean, come on. i hope these people making this movie does not cut out important stuff or make it cheesy like Twilight! they ruined that for me and i love the Hunger Games far to much for that to happen again. although, I'm satisfied with Katniss
I completely changed my opinion. Jennifer looks awesome, now she dyed her hair. She totally looks like Katniss. Well, as I pictured Katniss. I still have my doubts about the other two. I think they should, like, switch. I don't know. Lindsay changed my opinion.
it's terrible the whole cast completely sucks and doesn't resemble anyone in the least. the casting people must of been high or drunk to pick these actors and actresses
Er, thought Cato would be more like Max Adler. The guy playing him doesn't look beefy enough. Also not sure about the guy playing Gale - he just doesn't look right. Katniss' actress, with the dye job, looks more like Katniss now to me.Woody Harrelson was a no-brainer for Haymitch. If he restrains his performance, I'm good.
Heartbroken about Effie not being played by Kristen Chenoweth - she was the only actor I was *positive* of being cast b/c she was so obviously Effie. The woman playing her looks too young.
But anyone else have a massive "WTH?" moment when *Lenny Kravitz" was cast as Cinna? ::headshake::
I'm willing to give it all a chance, but the Cinna and Effie castings kind of bummed me out.
