Hello everyone! So glad I found this group and the challenges that go with it. I enjoy my historical romances and was really trying to catch up on them these past two years but this year I am concentrating on paranormal, because, according to my friends, I need to get with the program. LOL. This group will help me stay connected and caught up though so I'm not worried. Looking forward to lots of happy reading with you ladies! :)

Hi, Jeanette! Welcome to the group. Speaking of paranormal romances, I took a break from them for a while. I think I *overdosed* on them. I have you read any of Cynthia Eden's books? She's got a pretty good paranormal series out there! I might just have to pick one up this coming weekend!

One of my friends "introduced" me to her and she's got her on "auto-buy" through Amazon. LOL. Looking forward to her books.
Hi, Wendy. Welcome! It is fun here, and I can't wait to fully get into the challenge as well!
Jeanette, ohhh I can't wait for you to read Cynthia Eden! I hope you like her as much as I do!

Wow! So many new members! Welcome to all of you.
Looking back at how we started with EJ & JQ is fun. I read Splendid shortly after it was released and have followed that pattern with every JQ book since--except when I've been lucky enough to get an ARC and read a book early. The first thing I read by Eloisa was "A Fine Romance," the op-ed piece that appeared in the NYT in 2005. That was enough to make me start an EJ glom, which in turn made me an avid fan.
Lyndsay, I'm a Liz Carlyle fan too, and I recently read Bride by Moonlight, her February 26 release and loved it. The ending couldn't have delighted me more if she had followed a list of what I wanted to see.

Hi everyone! My name is Shauna and I'm from Wisconsin. I love JQ and Eloisa James novels! So happy to find this group and website! I studied history at university, so I'm truly addicted to historical romances, but I also really like contemporary romance and mystery/thrillers like James Rollins.
I'm very excited to try the A-Z Challenge and be introduced to some new authors and novels!
yes, I remember the birth of my first child that instead of flowers I wanted a book written by Victoria Holt in the hospital. What great characters we would make in a story tripping over each other for the opportunity to read and absorb grand stories.
Hi Shauna, welcome! I haven't read anything by James Rollins. I usually stick with romance, but I do enjoy reading David Baldacci when I need to take a break from romance. Robert Crais has a new book out that sounds really interesting. It's called "Suspect". Has anyone here ever read anything by him???
Hi my name is Joan, I am from Washington State where coffee and a good book go hand in hand.Saw this group info posted on Julia Quinn's FB and I thought this would be so much fun! My first romance book was by Julie Garwood-Honor's Splendour and from there I was hooked. My first Julia Quinn was To Sir Phillips with Love and it was signed! I share that series with all my girlfriends! I have read all that she has written and look forward to the new ones coming out. EJ is also on my gotta read authors list. I have read alot of hers also. Excited about this challenge, want to fill in gaps on my HR authors in 2013 so this fits great. I like the all kinds of books,I read a great deal, can't pass up a great cookbook either! I try to expand my reading base with other books to keep somewhat well rounded but HR or HF are my go to books always. Looking forward to a great reading year.
Hi Joan! How are you? Welcome to the group! Who doesn't love good coffee and a good book?! Lol, I know I do! You'll find a lot of great recommendations here for new books or new authors!
Hi, Donna. I love Jennifer Crusie too. A lot of us here do. I know what you mean about the covers not matching the inside story. That shouldn't happen!!! Lol! Although, I haven't really noticed that too much lately. I now typically read off of my Kindle, so I rarely even see the covers of books.
Anyway, WELCOME!!
Anyway, WELCOME!!
Hi all... I'm JillS, and I discovered Julia Quinn because her sister and I were both involved in a Romance Readers/Writers list back in the dark ages of AOL. Such a lucky happenstance! I have every single thing she's ever written (and both of the books by her dad as well!)
hi everyone! I m Riza. Iam from New Zealand. I am a total fan of anything historical especialy romace stories. I a total fan of anything JQ or EJ. I also love Julie Garwood, judith mcnaught and strphanie laurens.
Hi, my name's Brenda and I live in Pennsylvania. I started reading historical romances when I was 15. My mom gave me a Johanna Lindsey novel for Christmas and I loved it. I love EJ's fairy tale theme stories. I'm also a fan of romantic suspense and paranormal romances.
Monica, I have read all except the last one of Robert Crais's books. I absolutely love his Elvis Cole and Joe Pike books. His stand-alones are brilliant too especially the Two minute rule.
Hi, Riza and Brenda! Welcome to the group!!!
Marnie, I'm looking forward to reading "Suspect". I have no idea of its a stand alone book or part of a series though! Eeeek! Regardless, it sounds great!

It is a stand alone, only the Elvis and Joe novels are a series. Do try them you will adore Elvis.
Hi! I'm Chris and I've found my virtual home on Goodreads. I love a good romance, any genre. I was raised on "Angelique" and Georgette Heyer Regencies and only today did my mother tell me about Mary Balogh. Where have I been??? My two girls are grown, and now we are raising two Boston Terriers. I read, knit, spin and love sports. I also love a good challenge!
Hi all, I'm Donna from Pennsylvania. I'm happiest when I've got 3 or 4 good books going at the same time between audio and kindle. I like to mix it up between historical and contemporary romance, cozy mysteries, historical fiction, and the occasional classic. My favorite romance authors are Julia Quinn, Lisa Kleypas, Victoria Alexander, and Susan Elizabeth Phillips (and many others, but you gotta stop somewhere!)
I look forward to learning and sharing with the group!
Hi, Donna!
Welcome! I can't read more than one book at a time, but there are several readers on here that read more than one at a time! How in the world do y'all keep it all straight? Lol!

I like to pretend that characters from one book get involved with characters in another - I add the conversations to my secret journal.
Thanks for the welcome! Chris, you should try the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde... Lost in a Good BookThe book world literally comes alive!
I am Mansi. I read, dream, write, and fall in love with life all the time. I am truly deeply madly in love with romance books. I hope to script mine soon. Until then... Keep it romantic
Hello everyone! My name is Toni and it is a pleasure to meet all of you. I'm an avid book reader and I'm constantly running out of books to read. I have to say that even thought I was born with a book in my hand, my obsession didn't really kick off until I was around thirteen (if not earlier), and I was given "The Heiress" by Julia Quinn from my sister and that is what started it all. Julia Quinn is one of my top favorite authors and holds the number one position for Historical authors. I believe that my list of favorites would be ridiculously long - as, once I get attached to an author, I'm pretty much a fan forever. Miss Manda Collins, you're in this list too.
I have just finished with one book and am now currently trying to pick another book to read. I can't decide if I should go for my paranormal/fantasy romance or head to the historicals.
Hey everyone! My name's Cerian, I'm a uni student from Cambridge, England. Although I'm studying in Edinburgh- which is gorgeous! I'm a huge romance fan, and I have been since I was 12. Minx by Julia Quinn was the first historical I read. And I've never looked back since. I primarily read historicals, although I do dabble in all genres.
I read far too much (if that's possible). I even started a romance book blog recently.
Anywhos, I'm looking forward to exploring this group a bit more, so toodles!
Cerian, welcome! I have to tell you that I'm soooo incredibly envious that you're in Edinburgh! I will get there one day!

Hi my name is Becky and I am the mom to a little girl who is 4. I love all kinds of books but romance is one I always come back to and the same goes for Julie Quinn. My mom and grandma also love her books. They are so funny.
