message 253: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha, you could say that.

message 254: by [deleted user] (new)

I am here now Emma!

I had to work of course. I am still trying to figure out how to be independently wealthy and sit on my butt at home and read. Not working out too well. Maybe I am not trying hard enough.

message 255: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha! I finished Tithe and cleaned the house and......went on GR. Hey, I thought I deserved it!

message 256: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow! I need to do something like that! I am just on GR again, again & again!

message 257: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments LOL! Usually I am as well, but I disiplined myself today. It worked!

message 258: by [deleted user] (new)

I need to do that but was so bored at work that I just want to bum on GR tonight. I have a 4 netflix movies to watch so I might just do that!

message 259: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha! I usually go on GR and watch tv at the same time.

message 260: by [deleted user] (new)

My computer is stationed so I can do the same. But my kids are watching over the Hedge for the 5th time this week so I am ignoring the movie.

message 261: by Charity (new)

Charity (charityross) Random thought:

I have read the same paragraph in Wuthering Heights over and over and over again today. My head is not processing Victorian lit today. Must wait until tomorrow.

message 262: by [deleted user] (new)

Sometimes I have that problem too. I guess it means you'll be online all night!

message 263: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Ahh............

Random Thought: what book shall I read??

message 264: by [deleted user] (new)

Did anyone know that marshmellows have bone marrow as an ingredient. Yummy!

message 265: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments What?

I'm vegetarian!

message 266: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah. My boss at work gets very grossed out. She won't eat hot dogs anymore because I told her how they were made. Granted I won't eat them either.

But another girl at work told us that Marshmellows have bone marrow. Sure enough we went online & yes they have animal bone marrow.

Jello has bone marrow & horse hoofs too. I am sure there are many other gross things in food that we may/may not want to know about!

message 267: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments God, I knew Jello did, but, ACK, I shall never have s'mores again!

message 268: by [deleted user] (new)

Well you can melt the chocolate onto the gram cracker. My daughter does that because she has braces but if I tell my kids none of them will ever eat marshmellows or peeps. I love peeps!

message 269: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Yikes! Ack......I wouldn't want to eat anything with bone marrow anyways. Yuck.

message 270: by [deleted user] (new)

Most foods could be questionable unless you plant it, clean it & prepare it yourself.

message 271: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Good point. Ack, well thank you for telling me!

message 272: by [deleted user] (new)

If I here anything else disgusting I'll let you know. I am sure there is a lot more out their. I don't know if I want to know!

message 273: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Probably not, but oh well!

message 274: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments OMG! Bone marrow in marshmellows...Is nothing sacred anymore?

message 275: by [deleted user] (new)

message 276: by [deleted user] (new)

I think we found it on snopes. Sick! I know.

message 277: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Doesn't seem like anything is, except for books for course. :)

message 278: by [deleted user] (new)

RAndom thought: Okay so I don't have cable. I went online to get that free coupon for the converter box & now I am getting excessive amounts of junk email! HELP!

The madness never ends!

message 279: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Yikes, it doesn't does it? I suppose that's why we have escapes named books and Goodreads!

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments RANDOM SCREAM!!!! MY DOG JUST CHEWED UP ONE OF MY DANSKO SANDALS!!!! I am so pissed off!!! I do not spend alot on myself, but I do pay for my shoes, and I am ticked! But I love him, and he is only 8 months old... oh well..I guess I will be getting a new pair.

message 281: by She'Davia (last edited Sep 12, 2008 07:08PM) (new)

She'Davia Williams (redsoxocd) Not so random thought: I started going out with this guy today and he's like a hardcore democrat. I have no idea what happened. Last year when we started talking he said that he used to be a Bush supporter...so now i'm just like...wtf! But yeah. He asked me to be is gf after we had a political debate. And then he came with me to McCain HQ's and this guy from who I have fun talking to while volunteering, says to me "You know, add me as a friend on facebook, there will be a whole list of republican bachelors for you. I'm one of them, so just think about it". I'm pretty sure that he was just playing though, although he said the same thing when we got on the T (the train and bus systyem in Boston, I just realized that not everyone would know that "the T" is) and my bf was gone.

But I had so much fun today!

message 285: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments I put a pic. of my puppy even though he ruined a pair of my shoes. Cause I do love him... I have to keep telling myself that. (this pic is of him when he was 3 months old. He is now 8 months, and he is a lion.)

message 286: by Jackie (new)

Ann your puppy is cute. They do love shoes. Mine also likes crayons. Let me tell you it leaves me colorful droppings on my lawn.

message 289: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello! Anyone out there?

I have been up quite early today. I don't know what my problem is but on Saturday I could sleep in but I always get up before the sun.

message 290: by She'Davia (new)

She'Davia Williams (redsoxocd) I am currently getting ready to go down to the McCain HQ to meet Kerry Healy...I'm excited!

message 291: by [deleted user] (new)

Emilee, same with me. Every Saturday, even if it was a hard working week.

message 292: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Hi She'Davia - My boyfriend and I almost broke up during my senior year in H.S. because we had differing views about abortion. I'm glad we stuck it out - just celebrated our 19 year anniversary last May.

BUT I do still wish we agreed on this issue every four years when the political debates come up. So we try not to discuss it. Sometimes I just can't stand it anymore and I have to spout out, but he's a gentleman and just listens silently. ;)

message 293: by [deleted user] (new)

Mirela: I am glad to know I'm not the only one. It really stinks to get up early all the time but I guess my body is use to it.

Congrats Laura! 19 is an awesome acheivement!

message 294: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Thanks, Emilee! Everyone said it wouldn't last, because I was 20 when we married, but here we are...not that I recommend marrying at 20 to anyone though!

message 295: by [deleted user] (new)

They do work. My mom got married at 19 and next year my parents celebrate 40 years! It's almost rare now days. But how wonderful!

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 1128 comments Emma, for future reference when reading ingredients: gelatin=bone marrow

I was shattered when I found out because I was a huge fan of s'mores as a teen.

message 298: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Ahh, thanks.
Bye bye s'mores! Damn it.

message 299: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha Ken! :)

message 300: by [deleted user] (new)

I really hate the rain. I am in Chicagoland area, my basement is flooding. Can't find a shop vac to save my life so my poor carpet cleaner has been running all day. I got 3" of water down to 1". REally sucks. Time to take the sewing machine upstairs & the weather says it's suppose to be worse tomorrow.

I will say however that Bisel Carpet cleaner, works just as good as a shop vac just doesn't hold quite as much! I am probably going to fry the engine but I might jsut kiss the little thing!
