Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I'm going to have some hot chocolate and then I'm going to stay up late online.

It's my reward for being DONNEE.

Petra X (petra-x) Laura I have fabulous cookies. They are made by a pastry chef who is tiny, just 4'11" tall and says she was trained by Gordon Ramsay (Hells Kitchen on tv fame). I wouldn't have believed it but she has the most unbelievably foul mouth, just like him, so its probably true.

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments Random Thought: Do animals have secret lives they keep hidden from us in fear of being hunted because of the humans fear of the unknown?

message 2204: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona I would have given my address with a lot of love if Laura would have send you Lindt!!!!

catching up, catching up.......

Bianca, for their own sake, i hope they do!

I adore finding out about animals, nature and so on...especially things we didn't know yet or didn't see like pictures of. But I would prefer even more if we would explore anything, don't find out about unknown animals or places in the world...because in the end we destroy most of it anyway.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments the white once!!!!!!!!

That wasn't related to anything......jsut came on the screen...like that.....

message 2206: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Would it be bad if I don't spend Christmas with my family and go to a hotel instead?

message 2207: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I don't want to offend anyone by not wanting to spend time with them. Its just been such a depressing year. I'm ready for 2009 to come to have a fresh start.

By fat ones you mean potatoes cut into fat pieces or potato chips?

message 2208: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Ah ok. Never knew there were different names for them. There all fries here. I like crisps better, especially the ones from Burger King. Yummmmy!

message 2209: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Oh sorry I thought you were referring to crisps as skinny fries. We call everything fries, whether they're skinny or fat. Crisps out the bag are called potato chips or chips.

message 2210: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Hahaha...I'm sure.

I speak Spanish too, so sometimes I forget English words but will know them in Spanish. Especially when I get mad...I need a translator.

message 2211: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Jackie, only celebrate christmas if you want to and only with the people that you want to celebrate it with. No use to pretend.....

I am so bad in pretending and actually can't really care for it.

message 2212: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Thanks Jeane, that's why I was thinking about doing it...because I suck at pretending too. =)

message 2216: by [deleted user] (new)

Good to hear about your Uncle Fiona!

message 2217: by [deleted user] (new)

Emma the best exercise is open book move eyes left then right then left then right turn page cont. Best exercise ever! The best part it just costs you either a library card or fork out some money & buy a book at the bookstore!

message 2218: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I LOVE that exercise Emillee!!

message 2219: by [deleted user] (new)

Petra that is awful about the break in! I hope the police do something-hopefully they are a bit better down there then they are here in the states.

message 2220: by [deleted user] (new)

Emma: I use to excercise (real exercise-biking yoga, ballet ect.) a lot but now I just sit on my butt (don't forget that I eat!). I should make that a new years res- Yeah right my biggest res is to try to keep my rs for more then the month of January.

message 2221: by [deleted user] (new)

So I get to be off work for 11 days from the 24th to the 1st Yeah for me!

We are making candy tomorrow when I get home and all day on the 24th. I am guessing that I'll eat more than I actually make.

message 2222: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) No. I know people who fly over to the island just to avoid doing Christmas with their family.

message 2223: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Night night. Is it really that late? My mother (who is in Wales) is texting me but the network is down for sending messages so I can't get back to her. Maybe she forgot her sleeping pill.

message 2224: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments petra it must have been around 3am for Fiona that moment!

Yahoo, Emilee is going to forget about all the things she normally does during her christmas break and will be spending lots of time with us!!!!

message 2225: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments Random Thought: Sometimes I try to think of a new colour and it hurts my brain, it's just not possible.

That leads me to thinking of a person who was born blind, they would never have seen colour, but can they imagine it?
And how would you explain a colour? Perhaps you could explain by the colour's meaning, so red is the heat of a burning fire and blue is the cool touch of the ocean.

message 2226: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments What a coincidence you were talking about blind people, as I was listening to Andrea Bocelli.

Fiona, didn't you forget to add another day?
It was hell in the supermarket at 2pm! Why do people go and empty the shop at that moment!

message 2227: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments night is sleeping time for me Fiona....I didn't even planned to go but passed on my way back from the library and got an sms of my boyfriend that we need a bottle opener for his wine..... so I went in and started buying chocolate presents for tomorrow evening.....

message 2228: by [deleted user] (new)

Jeane: I was planning on reading but I know I'll be online most of the 11 days.

Yes, Fiona I will be online more in the next 11 days. Thank goodness I don't have to work we are getting a bad snow storm & the roads were horrible driving home. I'm so glad I don't have to go anywhere!

message 2229: by [deleted user] (new)

I noticed the best time to go to the supermarket is early in the morning or after 11 pm at night.

message 2230: by [deleted user] (new)

I forget how late it is for you. I'll just write to myself to entertain you. I think it's just you & me online.

I really need a glass of tea. It's so cold & my nose is runny! Tea sounds good!

Good night Fiona!

message 2231: by [deleted user] (new)

It's too cold. So I'm going to put on my Pj's, turn on the electric blanket, make a glass of tea & read!

I think that sounds completely entertaining.

message 2232: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments Another thing, do blind people dream with colour and shapes? I have to talk to a blind person!

Random Thought: I wonder how many people know what Christmas is about and how many just celebrate Christmas for the gifts.

I was talking to my friend yesterday and she was saying how pagan religions such as wicca were 'weird' and I was thinking to myself, well isn't Christianity just as weird. Drinking the blood and eating the body of a long dead prophet (even if it is symbolic) and letting one book (the bible) dictate your life and how you live it. It's only considered normal because it is so widespread.

message 2233: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, this is what you get if you don't go to bed immediately..no messages.
pandoro is coming pandoro is coming.....
It is a loooooooooooooooooooooong weekend without possibilties of being interrupted by agencies, interviews or whatever...just read......

message 2234: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Bianca, I don't find christianity normal in many ways...I am also not a believer...but something are a bit too much for me.

If blind people dream with colour and shapes...then maybe they expres them different. Especially to explain a colour. Maybe red they will call a hot colour.... instead of being busy about red

message 2235: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I hope this isn't a preview for the next days...still nobody posted on the group page...... am scrolling and scrolling and now that if someone comes on I won't be on.......

Wanna continue A surprise christmas but am curious about the other books i borrowed...and I end up not reading at all! Waiting for the heather to go on so I can sit against it...

message 2236: by Petra X (last edited Dec 24, 2008 05:33AM) (new)

Petra X (petra-x) lol about Christianity being normal. Its only that way if you were brought up in it. I was brought up Orthodox Jewish (not normal even if you are brought up in it) but with a live-in Irish Catholic housekeeper who had wanted to be a nun. So I learned all about Catholicism too. I went to the village school where most people were Welsh Baptist (and I went to the youth club there from when I was 9) and I tell you there isn't anything normal about anyone's religion if its something you are seeing from the outside. Its just what you are familiar with.

If I am going to come back then I want to come back as a Balinese Hindu since their religion has more parties, pretty clothes and festival food than anyone else's at all and I could do that, easily.

I think you would have to come back as a Hindu, as I believe they are only ones who come back!! :)

message 2238: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments Random Thought: Is there going to be a day in the future where anything that can be imagined and anything that can be written about will be written about and imagined, and what will happen then?

message 2239: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona wrote: "Lol I know - you end up spending all your time poking through other books you're excited to read instead of the one you are reading. It makes no sense.

TNBBC has been dead lately. Maybe it is a hi..."

Fiona, that is how it changes...you sit straight whenever you remember and you will start to remember more and more. Goooo girl!

message 2240: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments but then you go straight again! :-)

gonna read and eat something.

message 2241: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Shouldn't that go under the you know your GR obsessed when...all your emails are from GR?

message 2242: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments hehe, also jackie..

Fiona I changed all the settings because when you look for a job and everytime you open your amil, see like 30 mails and non is about work...after some days it does make you want to scream aaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh....

message 2243: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I was just kidding. Jeane, I had to do the samething. Everytime I opened my email it was slow because of the GR email...most of which came from this group.

message 2244: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I got that Jackie :-)))

I jsut found out I made as many comments since I am a member as we are having as year......that is not normal. I wonder what I have been telling in 2008 messages, which become 2009 after this one.....

message 2245: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) 2009 comments? =0

I haven't even broken 1,000 yet. I'm usually on during work, so I read the comments more than I type. Although this week I've been commenting more because I'm bored at work. =/

message 2246: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, how do you feel if I am already what the hell I wrote in those more than 2000 posts? Probably a lot of crap, especially when you were on:-)

Jackie, I am collecting them because when I will have a job I might not be on much.

message 2247: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I am already tired and have to stay up at least till midnight and a bit....still at least five hours to go...and I am hungry and have to go and prepare dinner....

message 2248: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I prepared tortillas..... watched the movie and now put a applie pie in the oven. Could have prepared it instead of buying frozen one. It needs to be almost 45 min in the oven!!!!!!

I heard christmas singing outside while watching the movie!

message 2249: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) That's so cool! When we were little, we caroled at some houses, but I've never had carolers come here. That would be neat!

message 2250: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I would LOVE carollers! See what I mean? I belong in Europe.
