Laura (apenandzen) Sorry about your FIL Ann. Hoping for the best for all, esp. at this time of year to go thru that. :(

Good news about your uncle, Fiona, that's great! And did you notice Kellie's very astute comment that you would make a great writer?? I agree, Kellie!!

:)

message 2153: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Fiona, if you'd make a terrible one, I'd make a horrendous one.

Plot? HAH. What plot?

I like your writing style, you're good, Fi.

message 2154: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hahha, sure, but YOU ARE A GOOD WRITER.

You hear me??? And I will not accept no for an answer, because you ARE.

message 2155: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) You both are, now stop this bickering!

Or the Grinch will toss all your gifts UP the CHIMBLEE, even the crumbs too small for a mouse AND the last can of WHO-HASH!!

;)

message 2156: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments You have a point.

Sometimes in Libba's blog she'll second guess her writing talent and I'll be like:

"WHAT? You're kidding right?"

So, I suppose you are right.

Complete with beams of light shining from everywhere!

message 2162: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I am not looking forward to January.

Why you ask?

Two words. Exercise Class.

And the teacher is someone I know.

NOT FUN.

message 2163: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I do aikido, which is a martial art, but it's only lower body strength, and I only sweat a tad.

The exercise class will be brutal.

message 2164: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Strength training and..

DREADED WORD

cardio.

message 2165: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Well, I do a lot of active things I guess. Aikido for two hours two times a week, skiiing in the winter time, yoga.

Well, Joe switches it up each time, but you always have to do skipping for about a minute (horrible) and step on one of those steppy things. (Which is actually fun).

message 2166: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) still there Fiona?

message 2167: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) No you are a writer. Its the way you talk about simple things. You make them interesting.

message 2168: by Laura (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments Random Thought:
Did people, as a collective, think that they smelled four hundred years ago or where their noses immune to the smell.
And four hundred years from now will people be thinking the same thing of us.

message 2176: by Kellie (last edited Dec 19, 2008 07:24PM) (new)

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments You are an excellent writer.
To be able to express yourself as you do in print is talent.
Not many of us have it.
I enjoy reading your "essays" on ..well.... just life! You say what people think. It's not easy. I struggle with it every day.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments what is it Fiona? Just got a package from my sister but it sounds broken. would feel bad to tell her if it is true.....
Got Stardust! Now I have a headache, tired and don't feel well still....

message 2181: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments Random Thought: What is at the end of the universe? Is it nothing, and if so where does this nothing come from? It isn't white and it isn't black but you can't imagine nothing without there being something. So, what I'm really asking is; What is nothing?

message 2182: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments I've always wondered about that. What if we are just a very very tiny part of a very large place, something else, something bigger and beyond that is evolving as we evolve?

I'm always thinking of that too, what if we were some kids science project that he left to decompose in some attic and this is how we've ended up.
Or if we were just a part of a coma patients dream and one day we would all disappear.

Questions about God and the Universe give me headaches if I think about them for too long.

message 2183: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments I would never trust myself to shop appropriately, have fun with that.

message 2184: by Laura (new)

I got Christmas presents too! :)

message 2190: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments They are in our christmas drawer..where are also the bag of Lindt chocolates which my bf's mum gave to him for me...those candy kinda wrapped balls with all different colors. Got the golden lloking ones which are white and the red ones which are milk chocolate. They are delicious, melt in your mouth and in the middle there is again a little bit of pure, wonderful chocolate. Those kind of Lindt are soooooo special and good.

message 2191: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (biancamaria) | 120 comments Fiona wrote: "Have you seen Life on Mars?..."

Life on Mars is only just coming to Australia, it's starting sometime this week and it looks good.

Random Thought: What book, that I have read, would I most want to be sucked in to.
Considering that most of my favourite books have an historical setting, i.e people stank, women had no rights and their style was terrible, it would be a hard choice to make.

message 2192: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, the Lindt balls are really good I don't like the tin bars of their chocolate but these are lovely.

message 2193: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments with me it leaves a smooth, nice, lovely wanting for more taste, especially the white ones!

message 2196: by Petra X (last edited Dec 21, 2008 07:42AM) (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Ok, I'm over the "trauma" of the rather hilarious and tragic break-in so I'm going to write about it. To illustrate this, I've changed my avatar to the front porch of my cafe so you can see what Miami shutters are.

I have Miami shutters on the back door of the cafe which is upstairs an outside flight of stairs and someone forced them apart, put their hand in and opened the locks. They let themselves in and took the money from the tip jar - just $2. There was something else missing as well, quite a quantity actually, and the police fingerprinted the container. They think they know who committed the crime, one of several local vagrants, and are asking themselves this question, "Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?"

Yes, that's all that went, the peanut-butter and chocolate chip cookies!

Petra X (petra-x) Thank you Lisa. Its my cafe porch but I'll be back to Barbies soon since Fiona was so nice about them :-)

message 2199: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) That is funny Petra. Now I can see why the whole thing had you laughing. You must make pretty good cookies!

Wow Fiona, I almost sent you Lindt instead, but I picked up Rocher first, then I decided on Dove! I love those Rocher things.

Lisa love your stocking!
