*Brings out jumbo mallet*

Now, what should I start with, the doubt of the story not being good enough, or the plot issues?

DONE.

Get writing! I'll be reading! :D

Hi Girls.....
I see you have been busy today :P

Just randomly swinging in after a looooong day at work. Not a BAD day, just a looooong one!

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments Ooohhh!! I ate a kitkat today!! It was my 13 year olds, so don't tell! He has not noticed that it is missing yet...hehehe...yummy...

I recently realised I really really like 100 grands and baby ruths.... weird how tastes change as I get ...uhm.... not younger....

message 1057: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Oh candy bars. 5th Avenues and Wachamacallits are the best. Then Reeses STICKS (they are my crack) and Reeses cups, then kitkats, then snickers.

This site makes me hungry.

message 1058: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I like Cadbury's Turkish Delight choc bars and fruit and nut. I like Mars bars a lot. Proper Mars bars, UK ones. US Mars bars are really Milky Ways. In the UK Milky Ways are what Americans call Mars Bars. I wonder why the names are reversed? I do not like Milky Ways very much. They aren't substantial and chewy like a nice dark Mars bar.

message 1059: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Dark chocolate is heaven. Sorry Jeane, but I don't like white chocolate. It's not really chocolate right? But it is pretty. Just not tasty. Too sweet for me I think I like semi-sweet choc or very dark.

message 1060: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks Ken! I'll check it out!

Like the new eye Fiona. Good luck on the writers block. You could try a long walk. But if it is as cold in England as it is here stick with sitting by the fire with a nice cup of tea and a good book.

message 1061: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments I could eat my three favorite candy bars all day and not get sick of them. My three favs are:

Butterfinger
Mounds
KitKat

I could live off of them.

message 1062: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Lemon squares! I love them. And Tastykake lemon pies. And Tastykake chocolate cream pies.

Ooh and Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes. They are the best. I stopped eating them once I found out about trans fat. Maybe they've changed the recipe!

I swear, you girls are food-addicts as well as book-addicts.... what am I to do with you?

message 1064: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments Chocolate, please. I have decided to make that my staple meal until I die.

message 1065: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I think this should be called the food thread...lol. I've never read so many posts with regards to cheese and chocolate.

message 1066: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Its ok for Fiona she's underweight. But for me at least food is poison. I'm on ryvita and cottage cheese right now. I treated myself to a big pot of marmite though. It was talk of Twiglets the other day, its been in my head and I had to have that taste.

But I would like some chocolate too, please.

message 1067: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) BTW, I had my fav snack today....Vermont Sharp White Cheddar and Triscuits w/ tea..mmmmmm

message 1068: by Darla (new)

Darla (sylvanfox) | 573 comments Leppaluoto -- They are touring right now, about to come out with a new album. They played at Streeters in Traverse City, Michigan... it's our biggest club, and as of the last few years has been booking concerts... usually it's more of a rap or heavy metal persuasion, so I don't really pay attention to who is playing there... I just happened to get lucky enough to catch that they were coming to town....

They are absolutely wonderful live. I would go see them again in a heartbeat. :)

message 1069: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Jackie, Jackie....I've already had my cheese fix for the day

No more. No more!

BAH

:(

Sounds really good, tho....

message 1070: by Darla (new)

Darla (sylvanfox) | 573 comments Thank God I'm not the only one that's heard of them... I was starting to feel like a real weirdo...

message 1071: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) LOL...Laura. It was thanks to reading about you and your cheese posts that I got a craving for it.

message 1072: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) :)

Sorry Jackie! (Unless you're like Fiona, and wanna gain about a gazillion pounds, that is!)

message 1073: by Darla (new)

Darla (sylvanfox) | 573 comments Heather - the song you're referring to is "Send Me On My Way" :)

message 1074: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I wish that was the case. =)

message 1075: by Jeane (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Feelin the love, Fiona! :)

message 1080: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) This is really intellectual conversation, about the level of my particularly trashy Barbie who would like to make a contribution but can't think of anything to say.

message 1081: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Okay, there wasn't anyone writing really and I read most recent psots already...so if yu find old posts coming up on top again...well lets say that you know what i have been busy with...

message 1082: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Do you think so? I just think she looks like slaggy white trash :-) I do have an Amy Winehouse Barbie somewhere, I will look for it when I am playing later. (Right now I am working, or supposed to be).

message 1083: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments OMG Petra, what did you do to her today??????

Fiona, I know you aren't interested at all in this but what I just saw on the Ac Milan website: tickets Portsmouth-MIlan!!!!!

message 1084: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Because you don't darn them (does anyone?)

My Barbie looks like WHAT??? Do they look that bad down there then?

message 1085: by [deleted user] (new)

Never darned a sock. I just buy new ones when holes start but don't throw the old ones away. They are good to sleep in.

Just ate dinner, or breafast for dinner. Scrabbled ages smothered in Sharp cheddar cheese. Yum. I could eat the whole block of sharp cheddar.

I am always so hungry. If I keep eating I will be on the television as the biggest woman in the world.

message 1086: by Melody (new)

Melody | 564 comments I know what you mean Emilee. We have moved recently to a colder climate and I am always hungry, even in the summer. I constantly think about food and I never used to be like that.

message 1087: by Melody (new)

Melody | 564 comments I am drooling just reading about the caramelised bananas in toffee. They sound divine.

Yes that is my great dane, she's named Emma and is 4 years old and is the most amazing dog I have ever had.

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments OMG!! I have been gone all day! so many posts!
I love your new barbie Petra X. Fiona, Your lunch, dinner sounds yummy!! So does you bananas!!
We had a huge family lunch today. Ham, green beans, mac and cheese, sweet potatoe sueffle(sp?)., rollsand peach cobbler. Very good!!
Then we went to our small towns Vetrens Day Parade. My Dad was in it in his full Navy uniform. It was a very small parade, lasted maybe 8 minutes, but very emotional.

message 1089: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I could gain a pound just from the cream on the dessert Fiona! Glad you gained your lb. tho, you were wanting to, right?

message 1090: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments I just changed my picture to a pic. of my Dad today in the Vetrens Day parade. I am so proud of him!!

message 1091: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I love cheese. Spinach and cheese ravioli sounds wonderful. Also a whole block of sharp cheddar. Here I can only get American cheeses and they don't compare with European ones. I haven't had any good sharp farmhouse cheddar in sooooo long. Mind, the cottage cheese is ok :-)

message 1092: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) ***not gonna say anything, not gonna run to the fridge, not not not!***

I love Extremely Loud, it may wind up being the fastest I ever read a book! I can't put it down.

<<< goes to read >>>

message 1093: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) MMMMM...yummmy cheeessseee! I think I'm gonna have one of my favorite snacks while watching Desperate Housewives.

message 1094: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I wish I could peel off about 10 lbs. too, Fiona !

:)

How's Gatta/i coming along?

message 1095: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I've just made some amazing soup:
marmite
hot water
ramen (not much)
frozen petit pois
artificial bacon bits
really, really hot sauce
parmesan cheese

Doesn't it sound vile? Tastes nice though. I'm drinking it and watching Charm School.

message 1096: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments Jackie!!! What happend in DESPARATE HOUSEWIVES? I missed the first half hour!! Did Lynette find out which one her "guys" was sleeping with that slut??!!
