Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hahha Fiona!

I do that in January, and people thinks it's relatively normal.

Just like me. :D

message 952: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) We exchanged bookmarks at another group I'm in - all handmade. We each made 10, and sent them all to one person with SASE's, and she is re-distributing 10 to each person who sent them in. That's how we did it, but we could do whatever everyone decides...or nothing at all, I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Laura (apenandzen) I would think up there in Snowville that the holiday spirit would be booming!

<<< waving the maple leaf, and shaking a snow globe >>>

message 954: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Good luck for you voters, I have only seen images on tv of long, but really long lines of people waiting!!!

Yeah(not) I found a way of getting very easy of TNBBC!! Cramps!!!! Really, bye to you all and hopefully till very soon(which would mean the cramps are gone!!!)

Fiona, technology and me are the same way. I have sirus radio for the car (the portable ones) and within 6 months all the lights on it stopped working, so at nite I cant see shit on it.

and our vacumms always break within a year.... Im a jinx... I know I am....

message 956: by [deleted user] (new)

It might be better if our candites campaigned for 2 wks. Maybe I should move north!

I too voted. I think I'll read & listen to how the polling goes. We still have about what 4 hours before Pacific coast and something like 7 hours for Hawaii. I don't know if I want to stay up that late to watch the polls. Who knows I might get involved in one of my books til 3 am so I could be up.

My kids always break my vacuums. Needless to say they aren't allowed to touch my newest one that is now three years old. The oldest vacuum I've ever owned.

message 957: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I really wanted to watch the election tonight but a concrete truck mashed up the cable on Saturday and the cable company haven't got round to fixing it yet. I'm watching it on the BBC but the sound is funny.

message 958: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 1000 comments I also voted today. Hardly had to wait in line at all, don't know if the precinct I vote in is small or what...

I'm enjoying watching the election coverage...have since the 2000 election. For some reason, I think it's fun.

message 959: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments I brought my book with me while I waited to vote because I thought I was going to have to wait a long time... 15 min. And my husband waited 7 min.

I bought some really cute Christmas cards today at a thrift store. And a really nice Thanksgiving tablecloth. I love this time of the year.

message 960: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I tried to stay up yesterday night and managed till one o'clock, which is late for me! Then I relaized that I wouldn't manage till the end anyway so there wasn't any reason to do it. In stead I woke up half an hour sonner, eight am and watched it on fox news and cnn.

message 961: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I can't believe it..for more than an hour I'm scrolling up and down, refreshing every time the page and practically no new posts are made......

message 962: by Rachelle (new)

Rachelle Life? What's that? Work consumes my life! LOL!

message 963: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Hmm, Fiona.... sometimes it does look like a chatting program between us two, isn't it? I guess the difference in hour has something to do with it.

...trying to get excuses and pretend I do have a life...

message 964: by Laura (last edited Nov 05, 2008 10:05AM) (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Mmmm, garlic crackers....sounds good. With cream cheese....even better! Woo, what a combo.

message 965: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Garlic and cream cheese would live happily ever after, esp. when they are lying on a cracker bed. It's like my Goldilocks dream!

message 966: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I have the contrary. My boyfriend's mom constantly wants to put more food on my plate and have several dishes. while I am used to eat one simple plate. So no first and second and dessert. Nope, just a normal plate with not too much on it. But then again, she is an italian mom who is always in the kitchen!

message 967: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Laura do you ever eat Boursin? http://www.boursincheese.com/ Garlic and cream cheese supreme!

message 968: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Okay, Petra.. Boursin :-))) Did you ever try this: white mushrooms, you take of the ...okay keep the 'cup' and fill it with Boursin. Then put it a little bit in the ove and not on too high temperature. It tastes really good. I should have never prepared it for my boyfriend! he likes them too much now.

message 969: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Thanks for the suggestion, Petra! I'm a little afraid to add any more fuel to my cheese fire at this point. If I didn't have about 15 or 20 pounds to lose, I would definitely take the plunge.

message 970: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Haha, laura! Funny one.

message 971: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I hate the pancakes from McDonald's. They are way to sweet. I love the ones my mom makes...so buttery..mmmm.

message 972: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Mushrooms, boursin and then a crust of breadcrumbs .... yeah!

15 or 20lbs, that ain't nuttin' eat up girl! I've got 35lb :-( and I'm in an eating mood. Don't know how to get out of it. I'm even eating dry ramen.

message 973: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I used to hate the smell of mushrooms but love the taste of them but they made me X. (Good euphemism Fiona). On Friday nights after the club my friends always wanted to get a Chinese and there would be those delicious mushrooms which I couldn't resist. I always wished I had though.

Fiona if you are so skinny you'll could go and be a model.

message 974: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Oh Fiona, I would kill to have your problem.

message 975: by Daybook (new)

Daybook | 66 comments I would too. I would love to be thin enough to eat Ben & Jerry's whenever I wanted to.

message 976: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Since when can you have pancakes at McDonalds????

Fiona, i can't believe that till maybe five years ago I would eventake the mushrooms off my pizza or wherever they were used. Now I eat white mushrooms (and only those) even crude, I mean uncooked or whatever done with them.(language are mixing up here)

message 977: by Anthony (new)

Anthony R (a2dar071) | 3 comments do you really think dat a fallen tree makes a sound if no one is around to hear it

message 978: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) In the morning before 11 AM McDonalds serves breakfast food and you can get pancakes. They are not very good...waaayyy to sweet. But I guess it's not at every McDonalds.

message 979: by Kellie (new)

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments Fiona...
When do you sleep?
Do you sleep?

message 980: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Fiona isn't around this morning. I guess she's catching up on her sleep!

message 981: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Oh but for Fiona it is afternoon/evening.
And no she doesn't sleep, only when the morning comes closer!!! :-))

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments OK Fiona...
This eye looks like someone before they stick a contact lens in their eye.

message 984: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Oh Kellie, that's a better way of watching at Fiona her pictures than I have been doing till now! Hmm, that goes better.

It gives me actually some reading time in the morning, when most in America are sleeping nicely..and I am thinking like now it is around six o'clock over thereso in a bit they're waking up. some will come immediately here, some a bit later..... Isn't that disturbing????? Shouldn't be thinking like that!!!!!!

Go Emma!!!!

message 986: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments :(

Hmmm.....

Maybe a Buddist monk could come to town?

Or

Buster protects the cats against a dog who wants to eat them?

message 987: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I still have to write 300 words.

What about the Buster defends cats thing?

message 988: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments LOL.

I need to write 200 right now.

Wow Fiona, STOP THAT WRITERS BLOCK.

message 989: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, Bob being afraid of his own shadow but having no fear of what he should be afraid...it made me laugh so much! It's great the images we get in our head!!! I was hinking immediately about my dog who used to make a big circle to pass a dog smaller than herself but would go and bark a huge dog!!!

I like the idea that Buste might realize he is an important person...

message 990: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I am gonna eat my Kinder chocolate egg!!!!!

message 991: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) LOVE your new eye, Fiona!

message 992: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I would have said owl - shows you what I know. Well, both raptors, right? (I think owls are raptors??)

message 993: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) How's Gatta and the crew?

message 994: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Wrapped around the little claw, that's a good one! Sorry for misspelling her name :(

I should probably be finishing my breakfast & logging off soon. No chocolate so far today :( Maybe later. I like melting chocolate along with peanut butter in the microwave and stirring it up, slurping it down. Very addictive, though.

message 995: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Do you guys get our snacks like Fritos, Doritos and Cheetos in England? How about potato chips?

message 996: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) PS - I am almost finished with I Capture the Castle! So glad I stuck w/it!

message 997: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Ha, I was faster! and i have the master of Kungfu panda! The little mster that thought he would never be able to make of the Panda a kungfu master...

message 998: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) HAHA another classic Fiona post! Wow, never knew about well any of them except #4. Trunk is the back of the car here, and Hood is the front.

OHHH so now when that kooky guy came out w/the song "She Bangs" on American Idol (the really bad Asian singer), he was talking about SEX? I'm sure I sound utterly dumb now, but I never knew that!

message 999: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, it does get confusing isn't it. And Hollywood movies aren't helping to teach you the correct way of saying if you are from Europe.

I used to say elevator in Nottingham, till I got it in my head I had to say lift and had to concentrate on pronouncing it every time.

And then writing many words. In American it is written with ou/oe .... but not in English...the same words!!!!!!!

And still I was soo good in English class. Don't get it. Why have I always been good in difficult or confusing things but not in simple things. I had at least twenty procent less for Dutch(my mother tongue) than English! Logic?

message 1000: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I was gonna ask, double dutch? what doesthat mean???????
