Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, no rehab is going to help people like us and we don't need help because nothing is wrong with us!!!!!

I even find it worse when they start about experience!!!! Are they sooo dumb to not get that if nobody wants to give you the experience, you will never have any and you want be able to give experience to other people and so on!!!!!!

message 902: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments And the question at the end of an interview: do you ahve any questions for us? ...uhm yeeeees when can I start?????????

message 903: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Um what are twiglets?

message 904: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Hmmm...I wonder if I can find them at my store. I never heard of them before.

message 905: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I love twiglets but I think I'm 5,000 miles away from the nearest box. Once in a while when I feel very rich I treat myself to some Marmite. I can't be doing with the tiny pots so I get the Great Big One and that costs me $23 - £11.50. Its like gold out here. Oh now I really want some twiglets.

message 906: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey (mamamunky) Random thought: I think my head is going to explode. I'm doing all this newcomer's orientation training online for my new unit (I'm in the Army), and I've been staring at the computer foooooooooooooooooooorever.

message 907: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 1045 comments Sounds like fun. I spend hours and hours in front of my computer with GR, but mine is fun. It doesn't sound like yours is even close to fun. Am I right? If not, I am sorry.

message 908: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) ok...twiglets, marmite...explain?

Something like Bugles? Fritos?

message 909: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Cool, thanks for the links!

Do you guys get Doritos, Fritos, Cheetos there? I love anything that ends in tos!

http://www.fritos.com/#/products/

message 910: by Atishay (new)

Atishay | 1451 comments Chill out Fiona! GR Rox !

message 911: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Fritos are crisps (chips to Americans). They aren't as good as Smiths' crisps anyway. Much oilier. And they don't have interesting flavours like salt n vinegar and cheese n onion. I would love to try the Marmite and cheese but I've never seen it. I do like American snack food though. I love nachos and cheese. Local snack food is nice but I don't think its available outside of the Caribbean - toasted coconut curls and tamarind balls (which are a mixture of sour tamarind, raw sugar and lots of black pepper) are my two favourites right now.

message 912: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I checked the Marmite site Fiona, but it doens't really inspire me. Which probably means I should buy it for my boyfriend, he will like it.

I like speculoos pasta on the bread, but actually almost never eat bread anymore since i left Belgium.

And I am huuuungry....why does Mass takes longer today!!!!!!!!! we are waiting till their mother comes back from Mass, because the rest already went. And they told me that every Mass takes longer today because it's the 2nd of November..but .....I am hungry!!!!!! dai dai

message 914: by Kellie (new)

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments All this talk of food makes me hungry ladies!

Microwave popcorn and nachos with cheese are my favorites.

message 915: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) I love microwave popcorn with cheese. I love nachos anyway. I love anything with cheese. Oh gee I am so hungry but I haven't got much except cat food in the house.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Join the club Fiona. I jsut hate waking up like that ebcause like you say, I feel like a zombie and can't do the things I normally do.

Now Jamie made me addicted to the Bella's Lullaby song. been on her playlist, youtube, facebook ....just to find everywhere and lsiten to it!!!!!

message 922: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I have to watch my cholesterol, so I'm not supposed to have the hard cheese I really love like sharp cheddar and monterey jack.

So I fall back on my 1/3 less fat CREAM CHEESE. It is my lover at times.....aaaaaaaaahhhhhh glorious CHEESE !!!

message 927: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Yes, hmm, making love to cream cheese is what I do for fun. When they come for me with the white coats, I'll be saying "cheese??? clothed in cheese you are ????" And I'll be so HAPPY to go with them...

Okay so now I'm starving! I have 30 mins before we go for dinner! I am so craving french fries. The last thing I need is fried food.

message 932: by Lisa Julianna (new)

Lisa Julianna (lisajulianna) | 1053 comments I'm hungry too....I had the lap band put on my stomach almost 2 years ago and today they adjusted it which means you can only have clear liquids the rest of the day and then tomorrow just liquids. I hate it when I'm really hungry...lol

message 933: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 1000 comments Since I don't want to interrupt the flow of the "tell me two things" game...Kellie, what game would you want to play on The Price is Right? We all have that one we are dying to play...

message 934: by Kellie (new)

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments There is one with the woodend yoodler that climbs up the wooden mountain..I can hear the music.... Can't remember the name of it
Then theres the one where you have to run around and place the prices on the big items
I would like that one too.

It's been a while since I watched it.
There are probably better games.

message 935: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 1000 comments Everyone loves the yoodler game (and it's called Cliff Hangers.) I like to watch it just to see people lose and the guy falls off the cliff. And the fact that I watch so much Price is Right proves that I need to find a full-time job.

I, personally, would love to play Plinko.

message 936: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Cheese for laura, chocolate for Fiona...and what will it be for me??? Com'on bells, ring!!!!!!!

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Everybody in the States have a happy voting day and hopefully we will all wake up tomorrow with an American president who will only be good for America and the world!!!

message 939: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments :D And good for Canadians!

Ahem.

message 940: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Of course Emma, but then again I count them in the world too:-))))

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hahaa, of course.

message 942: by Laura (last edited Nov 04, 2008 09:36AM) (new)

Laura (apenandzen) YAY! I voted too! It was so exciting. I haven't been this excited about voting in almost 20 years (eek, showin' my age again, UGH)

Anyway, wow, good for this country, good for the world. What great sentiments from across the pond (and up north, thanks GEmma!) I love the interest in our election from around the world, thanks so much for that! I'm so proud to be an American today. Wow.

message 943: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments I'll be staying up all night for this one....

message 944: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Depends how close it is. I'm hoping and praying that by 10pm Eastern time (so about 9.5 hours), we'll know. But if key states are close, and the lawyers get involved disputing things, it could go on a lot longer. The hope is that this year, it will be more decisive than in the past two elections, and we'll know sooner. I think we all want this to be over, no matter who you voted for.

message 945: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments True,

We Canadians joke that our candidates campaign for two weeks, the American candidates campaign for two years.

I think we're all kind of tired.

message 946: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) YAY Christmas music! I used to start playing it in July, Heather!

I wonder if we should try a Cmas gift exchange here at TNBBC. Would anyone be interested? Think I should start a new thread, and take a poll???

:)

message 947: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hahaha, go ahead.

message 948: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Tell ya what - I'll post a new thread and we'll discuss it there.

<<<<<< leaping to a new thread >>>>>>

message 949: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hahhaa.

I just think some of us won't be comfortable with giving out our adresses.

message 950: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Me too, Kathy! It was 20 minutes here, all told, but I got there around 10:30am, which helped. It was way more crowded than I've ever seen it, tho.
