message 701: by She'Davia (new)

She'Davia Williams (redsoxocd) Right now I'm thinking: Is is bad when a teenager sneaks out of her house so that she can go to the library?

because thats what I did tonight

message 702: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Emilee its the right coding bracket above the . (period).

>:)

message 703: by Brenda (new)

Brenda | 163 comments I'm wondering why the oldies station on the radio, with a library of 40 years of music, plays the same songs over and over.

"It's a shaaaame, the way your messin round with your man" every day at 5?

Brenda... im wondering why ALL radio stations play the same ones over and over... regardless of genre... I like when the local stations have thier special hours... we have one called Decades on sunday nites here, I listen to on my way home from work.. the DJ pulls out all the cheesy one hit wonders from the 80's.... and some of the best tunes... Stevie B, Milli Vanilli, Mc Hammer, Cure, Expose, ... he knows how to mix it up!

message 705: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks Petra. I so had brain farts last night. plus I only use the , & . when typing. I was looking on the number bar <:)

message 706: by [deleted user] (new)

The best way to get the music you want is to carry your CD's w/you. I get sick of the same songs over & over on the radio.

message 707: by Lori, Super Mod (new)

Lori (tnbbc) | 10620 comments Mod
but I get sick my cds after a time too....
i love my Sirus.. with all the channels, I am bound to find something to listen too.... and tons of new up and commers too!!

message 708: by Joanie (new)

Joanie | 714 comments I love Sirius too. I have found out about so many new artists that way, especially on the Coffee House. I have little patience for regular radio anymore.

message 709: by Angela (new)

Angela | 1934 comments We have a station in Chicago, which is on 99.9, that does not play any of the same songs in one day. No repeats... I love this station because it has a mix of everything!

message 710: by [deleted user] (new)

Angela is that Jack? I seem to always find the same song when flipping through. I do love the loop, new fresh music & the Q101 there are two others but I don't know their names.

message 711: by Sherry (new)

Sherry The worst thing my dog ingested was a whole (large)jar of vaseline. I cannot begin to tell you how horrible her bowel movements were or what they did to the lawn in the height of summer! I still shudder thinking about it!

message 712: by Sherry (new)

Sherry Do tell!

message 713: by Angela (new)

Angela | 1934 comments Emilee- I think Jack is 104.3. I also list to Q101 and 101.9, but I really like 99.9

message 714: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) My kitty, Talullah, was being beaten by my big fat chicken of a cat, Lily, and ran through the wrought iron bars of the fence around the porch. Lily pursued but got stuck in the bars (she's so fat) and had to go through the gate. She then through up on the doormat and Talullah started to eat it. So I guess their friends now. I've just cleaned up and I feel really really sick.

message 715: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I think I need to start avoiding this thread *gagging*

I'm just thankful I have no pets to clean up after.

message 716: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Haha Jackie. I like your cat's name Petra. I love seeing what other people name their cats. Flash, Lucky and Mush are a few cats I know. Sometimes I wish I gave Clara a more orginal name.

message 717: by Angela (new)

Angela | 1934 comments I named our cat Guinness (like the beer) because I brought him home without my husband knowing, so I figured he would approve if he was named after his favorite drink!

message 718: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hahah, I love that!! :)

message 719: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Saved by Grace, you can leave it. I think there were others that were worse...like the rat/mole stories. lol.

(G)emma the Emu...the name suits you well. LOL.

message 720: by Emma (new)

Emma Blue (litlover) | 2389 comments Hahha!!! I love it! :)

message 721: by [deleted user] (new)

At times this thread does get rather gross but it is also engrossing.

message 722: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) (G)Emma - when my kid was two and a half we got a cat whom he named Mrs. Rosie Wheatley. We don't know anyone of that name and by the time he was old enough to explain himself he'd forgotten why he called her that. Our other cat, the late great Sinbad, he named Sinbad the Sailor Cat Boom Boom. I hope he grows out of this by the time he has kids of his own!

message 723: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) LOL...Petra those cat names are very original. I would name my fish (only pets I had beside a rabbit) after people I knew depending on the personality of the animal and the person they reminded me of.

message 724: by Lori, Super Mod (new)

Lori (tnbbc) | 10620 comments Mod
Fish have personality, Jackie????
Just kidding. We have a goldfish we won from a carnival 7 years ago (it was itty bitty then, its HUGE now), and he is quite the personality, actually. he has this little 'thing' he does when he knows he is going to be fed.... he swims up and down in the far left corner of the tank, straight up to the water, then straight down to the gravel, and back up and back down till i sprinkle the food in. It almost reminds me of the way a dog will wag thier tail when they are happy.....

message 725: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments I am so excited!! My best friend got us tickets to see A CHORUS LINE tonight for my birthday! It's in Greenville at The Peace Center...I can not wait!

message 726: by [deleted user] (new)

Sounds Fun Ann!

Happy B-day!

message 727: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Happy Birthday Ann, have fun!

message 728: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Happy Birthday Ann, enjoy!!!!

message 729: by Joanie (new)

Joanie | 714 comments Have a great time Ann! My best friend lives just outside Greenville in Greer SC so I've been there several times-we always have a great time.

My random thought is this-why does everything either break or run out at the same time? The underwire just broke on two of my bras, I'm out of mineral face powder, blush, shaving cream, lotion and almost out of curl cream. I didn't purchase all of these things at once and yet they're all gone at the same time. It's a conspiracy!

message 730: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Have a good time, Ann & enjoy your birthday!!

message 731: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments Thanks everyone. My bday was 9/29, but she got the tickets for tonight. I am so excited! I never go anywhere. I really just stay at home and read. Or go to football practice, and read. Everynight... so this is a big deal for me! I have been watching utube videos all day about A CHORUS LINE so I will be ready to sing along! lol

message 732: by [deleted user] (new)

Joanie, sounds like you are having a tough run of it. I would tend to blame it on the elves. They are trickly little fellows.

message 733: by Kellie (new)

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments Random thought....
I just got back from chaparoning my daughter's Kindergarten class to the fire house and a pumpkin farm.
I'm exhausted.
The little girls fought and tattled on each other the whole way in the van.
I have a splitting head ache and all I want to do is curl up somewhere and take a nap
I took today off thinking this would be fun and I'd be doing something for the school...which I did.... But it was so hectic.
I'm not sure if I'll be chaparoning for Kindergarten again this school year.
Don't think I have the energy.

message 734: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments Kellie, Everytime I go on a field trip I wind up with a headache. Don't worry, once you feel better, you will look over the pictures and think about the wonderful day you had:)

message 735: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (melitious) I'm angry that I can't seem to focus on one book. I have Book ADD!!

message 736: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (melitious) And another thought -- I'm excited to go to the library tomorrow!

message 737: by She'Davia (new)

She'Davia Williams (redsoxocd) So two weeks ago I had really horrible service at one of my favorite restuarants, Friendlys, so when I got home I went on the website to fill out a complaint form. I thought that they wouldnt get back to me, but like literally 30 seconds ago I noticed that there was a letter from friendlys sitting in front of me. And lookeehere, I have an apology letter and a $10 gift card. Thats very happy-making.

message 738: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments I just got back from seeing A CHORUS LINE (and the first thing I do is check on my friends on gr's...lol) and it was wonderful!!! It was my first big musical production, but will noy be my last. WICKED is coming in 2010, and i am so there, God willing!!

message 739: by Kellie (new)

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments Thanks Ann!
I appreciate the comment. I feel guilty for feeling the way I do. I did not feel this way when I chaperoned my son's field trips.
These little girls made me crazy!!

message 740: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Haha, Melissa, book ADD...I like the new ilness.

Since I aw a lovely picture of white chocolate ysterday...I feel so weak and instead of taking a big piece, I keep taking little pieces since yesterday. Or maybe it is because since two days ago, every afternoon from about two till half five I am hopping my boyfriend will make me my first white hot chocolate of the year..and he hasn't yet...
I am just going to get another piece!!!

...why don't all the letters I touch come also on the screen??????

message 741: by [deleted user] (new)

Ann WICKED is the best. I loved it. It is leaving Chi-town. :(

message 742: by [deleted user] (new)

Kellie: That's field trips! I don't like going because little fights always break out between girls. Oh and the Jr High boys-they need to get their heads out of the gutter. I feel so bad for teachers! I can't imagine dealing with this every day!

message 743: by Kellie (new)

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments You are so right.
These teachers should be nominated for sainthood!!

Today's random thought....
My daughter was high scorer again at her soccer game. She scored like 5 goals. The coach is starting to tell her to start pacing to her team mates (she is such a ball hog) and he made her play goalie 2 periods today Ha!
My son had his best hit ever today. He clocked out to center field where it bounced and hit the fence. It was a great double! I had chills. So proud of him!! :)

Took my daughter to Disney on ice this afternoon. Great show! It's amazing how much money I spent on parking, a snowcone in a Ariel cup and this glow in the dark spinny thing that had tinker bell on the top! Oh yeah..and some popcorn.
My day is just about over. Phew! Where did it go!

message 744: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Ann I'm glad you enjoyed Chorus Line. I saw Phantom of the Opera in London last year and was knocked out. I don't like musicals but that was brilliant. I would like to see Chorus Line too.

message 745: by [deleted user] (new)

Random thought: steam cleaned my carpet today & my house smells so good. I like clean carpets.

message 746: by Ann from S.C. (new)

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments I just found out that LEGALLY BLONDE is coming! I have got to see that too!

message 747: by She'Davia (last edited Oct 11, 2008 07:17PM) (new)

She'Davia Williams (redsoxocd) I just found out that my ex boyfriend likes my best friend and that his best friend also likes her.

And my ex told me that I cannot tell her because he isnt going to ask her out since his best friend likes her.

WHAT THE HELL?!

message 748: by She'Davia (new)

She'Davia Williams (redsoxocd) Ixan...that would pobrably an amazing trick to play...but yeah...they're all awsome, just pissing me off a bit.

There are so many reasons why I should be asleep right no...

1. I have to be at mass by 9 (Or I atleast need to get there before Fr. Collins does his sermon)
2. I have an hour of RCIA after mass
3. I have to volunteer for a ton of time tomorrow
4. I'm most likely going to be out until midnight at a nightclub with some friends....

...but as it stands there is one reason why I'm "religously" not allowed to sleep right now.

message 749: by [deleted user] (new)

Random thought: It's suppose to be 75 today! Yeah!

message 750: by Laura (new)
