Probably a stupid question, but it wasn't 'The Wind in the Willows' by Kenneth Grahame was it? There've been lots of re-prints. Possibly one with a peach tree on the cover?

There really wasn't a whole lot of color. The tree was drawn in black and the peaches were colored (thats why they stand out to me), but not even all of the leaves were colored in.
Do you remember anything about the story? Were there other animals besides a frog? Was it a whole frog family? A story about friendship? Adventures?

There is a series of very old children's books by Thornton Burgess featuring various animals. There is evidently one titled "The Adventures of Grandfather Frog". It's not listed on Goodreads, but I see by googling that there appears to be various covers. You can look at it here if you're interested: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/14375
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be it. That's a picture book, and Megan's was a chapter book.

When i was young..probably in the early 90's..my father read my brother and I a book.
I recall it being a white or off white cover. There was a tree on it (a Peach Tree if i remember correctly) and a frog wearing a coat.
The book was worn when my father was reading it, so it may have even gone back to his childhood days (mid 1960's)
It was a longe rbook. he used to read us a chapter a night. Deffinitly kid friendly though.
I know it's a long shot but any help would be appreciated!!
