I'm talking about indoor games, not contact sports.

I make sure they win approximately half the time. It would be mean to trounce them every time. But learning to lose is important too. My niece used to be really upset when she lost, but she's a good sport now. And she's better at games, so I don't have to worry about letting her win anyhow!
This is a good question. Depends on the game/kid. I play basketball all of the time with my oldest son...he's twelve and pretty good. Sometimes I'll let him score, and even win, but we're getting evenly matched as he gets older so that won't be necessarily for long.
No, at least not my own kids. Number one, I hate to lose and number two, my kids are continutally trash talking (wonder where they get that from?). If they weren't, things MIGHT be different.
But if I'm getting heckled at everything from Battleship to Chutes and Ladders to fishing, H-O-R-S-E, and in-line skating, I figure it's time to conduct a clinic.

4 and under, I will let them win. 5 and above are pretty evenly matched with me and fuck if I'm going to let them have the upper hand.

Getting called "old man" sends me into the red zone.
