Jo, the way I understand it, the more times people agree with a certain tag on your book, the higher up the list of suggested titles your book will appear when someone searches. To tag someone else, click on the little boxes next to the tags (you can do up to 15 on each author), type "tt" quickly, and a box will appear asking if you want to save those tags. Just agree and you've "tagged" someone.

Give us a link to your book and we'll tag it for you. I also "like" books and author bios, and agree with positive reviews if I like a book.

JL, you need to add tags to your books - only one of them had any tags at all (and only two on there). You can add up to 15 on each book (be sure to put them on both kindle and paperback versions). Let us know when you've gotten some tags up and we'll go back and tag them all. I tagged the few you had, and "liked" your books and author bio.

Hi Kathy,

We haven't read the book and we don't know what direction you'd like to market your book. You should tag it the way you want first, with 10-15 tags, thus making it easy for everyone to agree with you. ;-)))

I've never figured out why our reviews don't copy there, and no one can tag or like unless they are a customer of the UK site. I ended up buying a 1-pound gift certificate just so I could tag and like friends' books over there!

Hi Esther, the Tags section is under the User Reviews / About the Author for each book. The section is called "Tags users associate with this product". You normally see a bunch of tags there.

The idea is to agree with those which, in your mind, best represent the book - by clicking on the little boxes next to each tag.

Esther, don't you have to type in "tt" after you check the boxes so you can get the pop up menu to save the tags you've clicked? That's how I was taught to do it! My tags haven't increased since joining in this thread, so I'm thinking people aren't saving the tags, so they don't count. Try it that way and see if it allows you to save.

Zoe, if people don't give you a list of what they want, just do the ones you think are appropriate. I would warn you to read the tags before you agree. There are malicious people out there who will tag your book with inappropriate stuff. Someone got me with "bad book" and "inappropriate tags". I've seen them put "don't buy" "stupid author", etc.
