Joyce I tagged and liked your books and noticed you hadn't added any tags of your own. Since you know what the books are about, start adding words that work for the story such as eg. romantic comedy, paranormal romance, mystery and etc. whatever fits with the story - check other peoples tags to get the idea.
Thanks, Mimi..I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I typed in several, lost count, then it blinked that I can't have over fifteen tags-I'll keep working on it.

If you scroll down to where it says "tag this product" you can add your books genre, or categories your book will fit in. It's located roughly in the middle of the page and has an option that says "your tags."
If you need help, I can add them for you, just post 15 descriptions of your book.
Then I'll go back and tag those for you.
Joyce, For a good example of 15 descriptions check out jason's earlier post. His descriptions are separated by commas.
Let's get to some taggin'! I'm skeptical about the returns on these threads... it seems as though the people at the beginning of the thread get 50+ tags and those of us dredging the tail end do a lot of work for no return. Here are my 15 tags:
adventure, all ages, alternate universe, anime, cartoons, fantasy, humor, parody, rpg, video games, wordplay, young adult, roleplaying, childrens books, comic books
Toonopolis: Gemini (Hardcover): http://www.amazon.com/Toonopolis-Gemi...
Toonopolis: Gemini (Kindle): http://www.amazon.com/Toonopolis-Gemi...
Gonna start digging through everyone else's now!

Thanks, Kiersten, Jason and everyone. My tags are:fiction,family saga,alcohol,romance,teen,adventure,humor,kindle author,police procedural,beach read,psychic,haunting,counseling,marriage,death
ALL RIGHT!I am all caught up and I am getting email notifications to catch any of the folks that are pulling up the rear like me.
Thanks to those who have already tagged. :)

Jeremy, got yours switched - glad to see you have 15 really good tags!Joyce, thanks to you as well :) (can you please add a space after the commas, your tags paste better that way. Oh, and US customers can only tag your US versions unless they've also made purchases at Amazon UK)
For anyone SERIOUS about getting the most benefits from tagging, the thread below is by far the best I've found. You will have to get your tagging act together, however, or you will not be tagged. This means you will have to learn how to copy and paste the author's preferred tags and do it for everyone on the list before you will be added to the list. Once that's done, the tags on your books will increase by HUGE amounts.http://forums.kindledirectpublishing....
Thanks Jason:fiction, family saga, alcohol, romance, teen, adventure, humor, kindle author, police procedural, beach read, psychic, haunting, counseling, marriage, death
Hey!That's me all caught up now on US and UK!

Thanks to everyone that did the same for me :)
Terri, you must have made a purchase via Amazon UK to tag there (same for Brits tagging Yanks). Sometimes it looks as though a tag across seas has taken, but if a purchase hasn't been made those tags will not register. Give me a bit of time to email you directly; I'll see if I can come up with some potentially new tag ideas.
Hi guys - it's been pleasure and honour to 'LIKE' and Tag all you guys:Here are mine:

Gotcha Lucy...
Hey everyone! So glad people seem to be tagging fiends! :-D
Just a couple of things. Sometimes Amazon UK will allow you to sign on with your American account, sometimes it won't. I have no idea what the rhyme nor reason is, but try it and if it works for you let us know.
Also, thanks to all those that are going back to the beginning of the thread. As I am the first book on here, I appreciate it more than you know! :-D
I wanted to ask if you thought it would be easier to have one comment with all the books listed. I can edit my first comment and cut and paste all the hyperlinks so that people won't have to click back and forth when they first get here. I'd put on there that I'm updating on Fridays, and what message number is the last one so that they won't miss the ones that haven't been posted yet.
If you think that it's just as easy to go through the thread, I won't bother, but I thought I'd offer.
Let me know you're thoughts, and happy tagging!
I think a comment with all the books might be easier for new people, but couldn't that get a little messy?

I'm from the UK, and I have accounts for UK and US.
Is that what you meant?

All done Kiersten :D
Terri, you're right. There's a very effective thread for tagging at KDP. What they do is update a weekly list with the approved new taggers on it. To be approved you must tag every book on the list (from your country) before you with the proper tags. All of that is checked at the user's amazon profile page. Only problem is, somebody has to volunteer several hours a week to organize it.For those interested in the best tagging thread I know of, the link is below. Takes about 3 hours to get your tagging done (for US taggers, probably just an hour for UK people).

I have finally tagged the whole list. I will check back each week to tag the newbies. In the meantime, I only added one book when I first started tagging and I'd like to add a few more!! Thanks everyone for tagging my books. Samanthahttp://www.amazon.com/Grave-Robbers-S...

Sadly I'm a one book guy at the moment - I think my publisher prefers it that way :D
But thanks for the offer - it really is much appreciated, and the same to all who have been kind enough to drop by my pages.
A squillion thanks.
Hey everyone! I've gone through this thread and put everyone in the first comment, so all you have to do is go to the first and click away. Due to space, I did not post individual tags. Also, if you reposted, I did not post again, so if the URL is wrong, my apologies. I just can't go back and recheck every hyperlink.
Please preview your tags before posting, and for my sanity please don't repost over and over again!
Thanks so much!

Mimi wrote: "Let me guess - you're the publisher??"It's a small press called Better Karma, but I am sure they'd prefer I focussed on one title at a time LOL. Although I am working my way through my next prospective bestseller.
It's a great life we lead - this writing malarky.
Have a super week, Mimi - and so many thanks again.
