Sorry!!!I do not know if it is possible to remove tags, but I would really like to know. It tags can be put on, they can be removed as well, shouldn't they? If I learn how to remove them, I will definitely share the info.

I checked. I can delete the tags I placed in the box, but I can't delete the erroneous ones because the erroneous ones do not show up in the add/delete box.

Esther, thanks so much for tagging, liking and voting for my review! I had done 2 of yours but am holding off doing the other 2 until you say which tag I MUSTNT choose. You can’t remove a tag that not appropriate if you didn’t add it, but you can ‘disagree’ with it and ask us to do the same. You do this by first clicking on AGREE WITH THESE TAGS. Then go to the wrong ones and click the little arrow next to it. It asks if you agree with that tag, and you say NO. Which one is it? You’d better tell us before we all keep tagging it!
I think I had to create a separate Amazon.uk account, can’t remember now!

Anthony, creating tags on a book simply means that if someone is looking for a certain book, say memoirs on grief in my case… then if they search ‘memoir’ a list comes up with drop down choices. They could then choose ‘grief’ and my book should show up there! As far as I understand, it’s just for searching. If a book has no tags, it won’t show up on searches! You can try it for yourself. @Dustin, I’ve never heard of liking or tagging affecting ranking, I thought that only sales did that. Star-ratings help to bring your book higher up on searches, if people sort by star-rankings. But you never know. My memoir has consistently stayed in the top five under the headings grief and bereavement and death and grief, and I don’t know how this happened. The "Kissinger" book probably jumped to #3 under a particular section on Amazon and not overall.

Just so that everyone knows, tagging isn't just clicking on AGREE WITH THESE TAGS. That doesn't actually increase the numbers. You need to click on each tag individually!
