Cliff Ball (cliffball) | 18 comments Hi all,
Here's my author page with my books. The Usurper needs more likes but has enough tags(and I wish I could fix the kindle version's tags, I messed that up), the others need both.

http://www.amazon.com/Cliff-Ball/e/B0...

Thanks!

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 102 comments Finally ready to join in! Here's the link to my science fiction novel TWIN-BRED on Amazon (just Kindle so far):

http://www.amazon.com/Twin-Bred-ebook...

Please tag away! :-)
As I start tagging other books, how do I know what sort of tags the author would prefer??
Also, does anyone know whether the tags will carry over to the paperback edition when that is added?

message 653: by Jason (new)

Jason Matthews (jason_matthews) | 85 comments Terri, got it but 1 tag on your paperback and 4 on the kindle version won't help much. Please see my comments above explaining how to get the most benefit from this.

Cliff, I liked and tagged all 10 versions of your books. If you can recip, mine are listed here http://www.amazon.com/Jason-Matthews/...

Karen, got em. Paperback tags do not carry over to Kindle and vice-versa (wish they did!). Just click the top 15 tags, even if you have to hit the Show All Tags button which is most common. Like Terri, you want 15 tags for us to help you more.

message 654: by Karen (new)

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 102 comments I've come up with 11 tags for Twin-Bred so far. If anyone here who's read it, or who reads the description on Smashwords, Amazon or the Nook Store, has ideas for the other 4, please let me know! (The ones I thought of had never been used -- I assume that doesn't do one much good.)

Now to make my way up the list!

Shannon Dermott (shannondermott) | 45 comments Hi all,

I have liked and tagged:

Terri - both paperback and kindle
Cliff , my fellow Texan, - I've got all your books
Karen - got your book
Jason - I got all eight of your books.

Hopefully you all will reciprocate.

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 102 comments Thanks, Shannon! I liked and tagged the U.S. version.

I'm working my way up the list slowly -- because I'm trying to stave off incipient carpal tunnel, I'm doing at least one or two books per author, but not necessarily all....

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 102 comments Well, I've liked and tagged my way backward through September 25th. Got to give my arm a break.... Thanks to the two people besides me who've tagged Twin-Bred so far!

(My link is http://www.amazon.com/Twin-Bred-ebook...)

BTW - is it allowed/expected to "like" one's own book?

I've liked and tagged you.

message 663: by Jason (new)

Jason Matthews (jason_matthews) | 85 comments Got it, Roxanne. You may want to add more tags, up to 15 so our help benefits you more. If having trouble coming up with 15, check out other similar books and see what those authors are using.

Jason Matthews (jason_matthews) | 85 comments Got em, Barbara and tk. Charity, got all the ones I hadn't seen before. Paperback version of Secure Hearts still needs tags.

message 669: by Charity (new)

Charity Parkerson | 167 comments Thanks Jason, I hadn't noticed that they were missing :)

message 670: by Patty (new)

Patty Jansen (pattyjansen) | 16 comments Tagging is awesome.

My books are here: http://www.amazon.com/Patty-Jansen/e/...

Some of them are anthologies in which I have stories.

Nice. Yes I'm still in Memphis. How long have you been in Murfreesboro?

And I liked your new book.

Can I add tags to my book after it has been published on Amazon Kindle, and if so, how?

message 677: by J.J. (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) I think I'm beginning to understand this tagging lark. I added 15 tags to my own book. If anyone would like to add some tags, I'd be grateful. The main tags I need bolstered are

thriller, mystery, suspense.

Thanks. Here's the link to my book (St Patrick's Day Special)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005...

I will reciprocate, starting now. :)

message 678: by Jennie (new)

Jennie Coughlin (jenniecoughlin) Today's definitely going to be a tagging day on Amazon to try and help all you guys out. :) I finally went in yesterday and maximized my tags (well, 14 of 15). Can't wait to see if that helps people find the book.

http://www.amazon.com/Thrown-Out-Stor...

message 679: by J.J. (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) Jason: How come your lastest book, (skiing and mushrooms) has 16 tags? I thought 15 was all you were allowed.

message 680: by J.J. (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) Hey, Shannon. You've got 34 tags. I thought 15 was the limit. Maybe readers can add more than the 15...

message 681: by J.J. (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) Hey Charity, I tagged and like one or two of your more recent books. Your first one seems rather expensive !

Roxanne, I started a discussion on your Amazon page.

message 683: by J.J. (last edited Oct 20, 2011 03:06AM) (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) Hi Patty Jansen. I tagged and like a couple of your more recent books. Then I bought "Out of Here". How could I resist at that price. I will read it with interest and maybe buy some more. I love SF. I think having a freebie anthology is a brilliant way to grab readers. In my case, I only have one SF anthology with 10 stories, so I can't really afford to give it away. It's called OVOLUTION AND OTHER STORIES and it's here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005...

I haven't tagged this book myself yet.

message 684: by J.J. (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) All done. Where people had lots of books, I tagged the most recent ones, and liked a lot of books too.

Charity Parkerson | 167 comments J.J. wrote: "Hey Charity, I tagged and like one or two of your more recent books. Your first one seems rather expensive !"

The publisher sets the price. That is why I am now an "Indie" :)

I've lived in Murfreesboro since 10 years in age...so a long time. Though I never admit how many years that's been :)

message 691: by Jason (new)

Jason Matthews (jason_matthews) | 85 comments Got them, J.J. and Jennie

J.J., any book have can an unlimited number of tags, but each individual may only add 15 per book. Some readers add their own tags instead of just clicking the top results.

message 692: by J.J. (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) Someone (one person) has tagged one of my books. Thanks, whoever you were. I now have 2 on about 3 of my tags. Yippee!

message 694: by J.J. (new)

Mark Rice (metallicdreams) | 41 comments Got you tagged and liked, J.J., Glen, tk, Jennie, Barbara, Roxanne, Patty and Karen.

My links are in message 413. My UK amazon books (paperback and Kindle) could use some more likes and tags. Seems like only the US ones have been getting tagged/liked.

message 696: by J.J. (new)

J.J. Toner (jjtoner) All tagged and liked US and UK, Mark. Sounds like an interesting book. Where does Phil Lynott come in to it? He was one of ours (I'm Irish).
