New librarian - help merging two authors

Hello,

I've just received my librarian status and after reading the guide I have a pretty clear idea on how to merge editions and so on, but I'm not so sure about fixing two authors that should be the same.

The case at hand is about the proper author linked in the topic and this one with incorrect spelling:

I have read some posts that make me think that editing the wrong name should suffice, but I wanted to be sure that this is the proper way to go.

Yes, edit the author profile and change the name, not the books, it will ask you which profile to keep, just be careful to keep the right one.

This doesn't work if the author is a goodreads author, because librarians can't edit their profiles.
