Kayla Duff This is for those who have not read the book or seen the movie. This should cover everything.

The Story: WE MAY BE WALKING PAST YOU RIGHT NOW.

WE ARE WATCHING AS YOU READ THIS.

WE MAY BE IN YOUR CITY, YOUR TOWN.

WE ARE LIVING ANONYMOUSLY.

WE ARE WAITING FOR THE DAY WHEN

WE WILL FIND EACH OTHER.

WE WILL MAKE OUR LAST STAND TOGETHER.

IF WE WIN.

WE ARE SAVED.

AND YOU ARE SAVED AS WELL.

IF WE LOSE, ALL IS LOST.

Eleven years ago, a spaceship entered Earth's atmosphere and touched down in a remote area, amidst a thunderstorm created by the aliens on board. There were nineteen people aboard the ship: Nine kids, all aged 6 years old. Their nine protectors, one for each. And the one man who flew them here.

These people are all from a planet called Lorien, the closest of 18 life sustaining planets in our galaxy. On Lorien, there were two kinds of people: The Garde and the Cepan. The nine children who were on that ship are all members of the Garde, the group destined for protecting Lorien. At a certain age, each individual member of the Garde on Lorien develops Legacies, or special abilities. These include telekinesis, turning invisible, breathing underwater, extreme strength, reading minds, and similar powers. Significantly before this age, each child on Lorien is placed with a Cepan, or a guardian. These members of society are well trained in combat, but do not possess special powers.

The reason they came here, to Earth, is because Lorien was destroyed by a race named the Mogadorians. The Mogadorians are also humanoid, but in a more crude way. Many thousands of years ago, they ran into a problem. They were killing their planet, depleting the resources. They decided not to reverse the effects. Instead, when their planet died, they went after Lorien's resources. When the Loric people put up a fight, they destroyed the whole planet. They're come to earth to do the same thing. The nine Garde are here to stop them.

When the nine left Lorien, a charm was placed upon them. They were numbered, one through nine, and the charm makes it where they can only be killed in order. Should a Mogadorian try to even hurt one of them out of order, whatever damage they intended to inflict will be undone on the Garde child and performed on the Mogadorian responsible.

In the Roleplay: For roleplay purposes, we're pretending that they landed when they were about sixteen, as this is around the time when they can start discovering their Legacies.

Extra: The Loric people have been visiting earth since the very dawn of human evolution. They gave us the key to fire, set down the basic guidelines to come up with a language (which is why English is so similar to their language), and helped us build famous structures, like the Egyptian Pyramids. When a person from Lorien has a child with a human, the resulting child usually possesses special skills. A few of the best known were Aristotle, Albert Einstein, Thomas Jefferson, and Alexander the Great. many of the Greek Gods were also hybrid children, each with one Loric parent.
Those with a strong Loric accent speak with an accent similar to French.
