What are you reading?
I finished 11/22/63 over the weekend. I really enjoyed it. I was really worried after reading some reviews. Then I started The Night Circus.
just finished Hellucination and started Devils Lair by David Wiseheart. Still reading A Game of Thrones.
Katherine wrote: "I just started reading Marjorie Morningstar by Herman Wouk for my "real world" book club (vice online book club.) Enjoying it so far - only about a quarter of the way in. I had never heard of this ..."This was made into a movie with Natalie Wood and Gene Kelly. I recall the book and the movie were both pretty good.
I'm reading Better Off Wed which is a cozy mystery and I'm about to start The Dead Saint which is a thriller/mystery.
I just finished SACRED HEARTS by Sarah Dunant and KILL ALEX CROSS by James Patterson and enjoyed both of them. Now am resding THE LITIGATORS by John Grishom and really enjoying it.
I'm trying to read "Dawnthief" by James Barclay, but I'm finding it badly written and can't get past chapter 6. But I'll keep trying. In the meantime, I read "Leviathan" by Scott Westerfeld and loved it!

Ooh, that's a great YA favorite of mine. Glad to see you enjoyed it c:
I've just picked up Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino and The Great Book of Amber (forgot author name).
They both look excellent.
I just finished My Lucky Life in and Out of Show Business. The writing lacked polish, but I enjoyed his reminiscing.
I'm currently reading We, the Drowned, Kafka on the Shore, and Our Mutual Friend.I kind of want to read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close again before I go see the movie, but I have a feeling that I'll have an incredibly difficult time getting my hands on a library copy right now.
I also want to re-read the Hunger Games trilogy before the movie comes out next month (I'm so excited).
Jane wrote: "Started The Man in my Basement by Walter Mosley then got obsessed with my new Kindle."I understand the Kindle obsession. I'm finding I love my Kindle almost more than paper books. I enjoy letting it read to me while I cook or clean. 8=)

Rayna, how is We, the Drowned? I just got a copy of that for christmas and think it sounds amazing!
I am reading Spaceman Blues: A Love Song, started it yesterday and I have a little less than 60 pages to go... it was really strange and slow to start but it's finally started to pick up. I had no idea where the darn thing was going at first....
I am also still (yes still) listening to the audio for Couch - the reason this is taking forever is because it's on my phone, and I only listen to it in my car through the av in/out.. so if I dont have the car on my way to work, i dont get to listen it :(

Lori, We, the Drowned is taking me a while since I've been reading it on and off, but I like it. There are a few bits where I find the identity of the narrator confusing, but it might be a fluke of the translation? It's still pretty good though. I'll let you know about my thoughts when I finish it.Can anyone recommend any good books about the Kennedy assassination? I've decided I want to read 11/22/63, but I feel like I should learn more about what actually happened before I read a "what if" book.
I'm reading John Adams, and the Girl Who Played With Fire. John Adams is a slow go for me but very interesting. The Girl....is exciting reading.
The Rose of Sebastopol and I actually really like itfinsihing on of the about Alex Cross ( by J Patterson)books
and catch up old months group reading Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, like that too, even footbinding description horrify me
Finished Murder by Mocha
and Tripwire
. Started The Tin Roof Blowdown
, Die Trying
and Death At Wentwater Court
along with the other four I'm working on. The Red Queen
is getting better. Now, bearing in mind that my exposure to what historians call "primary sources" is ZERO, I'm wondering if the sort of feminist interior reactions the main character is having about being parceled off to husband after husband without her consent would actually have occurred, or if they are a way to ensure the modern audience can identify with her and respect her.
Suzanne C wrote: "I'm reading Kane and Abel. So far, so good.I really liked this one Suzanne, glad you're enjoying it too.
I'm reading The Borrower. Last 80 pages or so, and though I am simpatico with the authors political views to a certain extent, I am curious to see how or if she redeems her narrator or if she lets her off the hook. Trying to read 2011 books that got some press last year. This is better than avg. but not amazing. This is mostly because I feel like the author's moral and political views are the main reason for this plot. I do like all the chapter names and literary illusions since the main character is a librarian. That is what drew me in the first place.
I've taken a gander into The Book of Amber by Robert Zelazney. It's really gripping, I'd definitely recommend it as a nice and juicy long read to any high fantasy fans.
I am almost done with State of Wonder. Slow moving in the beginning, but good topic. Love to hear what you think when you are done
I'm just starting The Lost Girls and the Wander Year: Three Friends. Four Continents. One Unconventional Detour Around the World.. Excited to start it! :)
Just finished a great time travel fantasy The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack. It's a "steampunk" story. That is a descriptive term I've never heard but that's what the reviewers call it!
I am reading Pilgrim at Tinker Creek. HOLY CRAP, SO AMAZING!!! It's been a couple of years since I read a book that I knew within the first few pages would forever be on my All-Time Greats list, but this is definitely one!I very strongly recommend it, particularly if you are a nature lover!

Good luck! I have the S. King book on my TBR list, and am looking forward to reading it.
I just finished
, the book exceeded my expectations, love the character development and fell in love with all of them. I love how amicable the relationships were and how it passed over time.I am about to begin
.
I just finished The Wishing Jar: A Novel, not the best book I've ever read. Now I'm enjoying Jane Austen's Persuasion.
