I loved that story, but surprisingly I liked the movie better. Usually for me it is the other way around. Loved her book of short stories. Enjoy.

What do you think of "Caleb's Crossing"? I was a little disappointed, as I loved her other books, although her sense of place is fantastic."

Just started - I will let you know. I loved "March". We will see...

Loved The Second Most Dangerous Job In America! Reminded me too much of my own short stint behind the register at a mini mart!!

Starting to read Girl With Oars and Man Dying... by JA Tyler. For some reason goodreads won't let me link to it, but it is listed in here. It reads kinda crazy, too soon to tell if I'm completely digging it yet.

message 26254: by Michael (new)

Michael (book_nerd1991) I am about to read The Princess Bride by William Goldman , I heard many good reviews on this.

Nice, Michael... I preferred the movie to the book but they are nearly identical in every way!

message 26256: by Jane (new)

Jane | 221 comments Finished Death Comes to Pemberley and was very disappointed. Wasn't like any other P.D. James I've ever read. In fact if it hadn't said it was on the cover no one would have been able to convince she was the author.

Ann from S.C. | 1395 comments I just finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King and it was fantastic! I am now reading SACRED HEARTS by Sarah Dunant. I love all of her books and so far this one does not dissapoint.

message 26258: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I finished Imperiumby robert Harris this weekend. I always love his books but this one was verry different. It doesn't mix a historical fact with present time like the other books I read. This one is about Cicero and I was completely hooked!
Last night I couldn't sleep so I started the brick Atlas Shrugged. Almost fifty pages into it and finding it very good.

Atlas Shrugged is very good and very appropriate for the current events. It definately has a slant to it, but totally interesting. Let me know how you like it.

message 26262: by tiasreads (new)

tiasreads I finished Moloka'i last night. I found it slightly too long. If it were about 50-70 pages shorter, it would have been just perfect. But it's an extremely good read, nonetheless. Next up is Kristin Hannah's latest, Night Road.
