I just finished that book and thought it was amazing!!"
I couldn't finish The Book Thief. I think it was just time constraints so I'm planning on trying again at some point.

I'm also listening to Edgar Sawtelle (long drives to work); so far, so good. I really love some of his word choices. He uses paradox well.

I loved this book! It was one of my favorites from last summer.

The writing it tremendous the story has really kept me interested, and the book is only about 190 pages long, and as leader of a Book Club I think it is one our group will do next season.

The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber
Remember, Remember (The Fifth of November): The History of Britain in Bite-Sized Chunks by Judy Parkinson
Both are good reads so far!

I read the Segal years ago and liked it-- it's also inexplicably really stuck with me, for no discernible reason.

Hope you enjoy Outlander- it is one of my favorites! :)

I'm almost half way thru The Wise Man's Fear and I've just started In The Forests of Serre

I don't usually respond to comments, but I read this book awhile back and was really struck by the author's conflicted back and forth about the subject. I didn't get the sense that she was really enthusiastic about this family and at times was struggling with completing the project altogether. This would have made a better medical journal article than a book.

Karen, if you like Cold Mountain, you may also like Gap Creek.
I've started A Dirty Job. So far it's funny with a crazy storyline.

A Dirty Job is crazy all the way through :D

Now I'm going to start American Gods.

I think it would make a good discussion for an ethics class.
