Really? My mom said that Interview With a Vampire was her least favorite, and that Vampire Lestat was the best. But then I have heard good things about Queen of the Damned. Hmm. I'll have to report back on this once I finish it.

i started the 4th book in the Mistress of the Art of Death Series, A Murderous Procession this evening. i'm not far, but hopefully it's just as interesting and enjoyable as the other 3 were.
i also picked up 2 books for my trip, i grabbed Breaking Dawn and The Girl Who Played with Fire. i'll be flying cross-country, so hopefully i'll get through both of these, or at least one of them. i'm considering bringing a third, less entertaining book that will help put me to sleep the night before my race. i'm already having strange marathon dreams, so i think i may need the help!

I am also listening to Mockingjay

I rather enjoyed it and I'll definitely try to get around to reading more of her books. It was heartbreaking in some parts and almost had me in tears towards the end which doesn't often happen. Sneaky Helen! She seems like a great story teller, seeing her would have been excellent. Lucky you!
Currently reading Sherlock Holmes in order and loving it so far. I don't know why it took me so long to read them!

Cider House Rules made an unforgettable movie. Haunting.

I am trying to make my way through

Ihad the same for The mists of Avalon. was really looing forward to read it but the beginning was a bit slow. For me it did it take up after a bit and I really liked the book.

This book is freaking awesome! Finally, a story where the protagonist isn't a helpless twit that needs to be rescued from her own stupidity. I cried my eyes out at one point. The writing is so authentic, you feel like you are actually there with the characters. I even read some of it out loud to my boyfriend, who started reading over my shoulder. Hope to finish it tonight!!

Now I am reading The Girl Who Played With Fire. So far so good.

Now I'm starting The Bad Seed by William March. It's the first of many creepy books that I hope to read during the month of October.

Rosalie, this are the only two books I read of her, Year of wonders as first and I absolutely loved the stories too, the way it was written, the history in it. She writes great books.

First I thought of the Inkheart series as a book for children only and didn't really feel like starting... but after I convinced myself to start reading this series, I couldn't stop! Cornelia Funke's characters are so lovely, they are not only friends for children, but adults aswell:)Tell me how you liked Inkdeath?

Now I am reading Horns. Keeping it in the family, I guess.
Horns is the first ebook I've borrowed from the Carnegie Library here in Pittsburgh. I bought the hardback awhile back but it is just to easy to read it on the Nook.

Sarah. I didn't know the books but my boyfriend had me watch the movie with him because he thought it sounded like something I might like. What he meant was, it is about books so you will like it. :-) I was completely in love with the movie nd the first chance I had to go to the bookshop I searched for it. We found it, guess where? In the children section! :-) I for sure don't think it is only a kids book. Actually, finding it pretty adult like. Have you read all of them? I am half way Inkdeath and torn between going on which I really want to do and stop ebcause I don't want to finsih and I am afraid of what will happen!!!! This is a very weird feeling because even with my favourite books I don't have this. Even if I am getting very excited, I keep realizing that it is fiction and most of the time it will be all ok. But this one is driving me crazy! :-)

Madeline, I heard that comment a lot but couldn't really share it. But for now I haven't heard anyone sharing this feeling of me:-)

I didn't see the women as stubborn. I believe they bore a great responsibility, and were fully aware of the need to temper the selfishness of the unenlightened. Like the Bene Gesserit for whom they serve as a template, they are resolute in their mission to see humanity reach its highest potential. But of course, they have their own inner demons to vanquish.

She also wrote an interesting story set during the Civil War, March, which won the 2006 Pulitzer prize for fiction.

Donna, that is another one I want to read!!

Jeane and Antoine, I was reconciled to them by the end. Somehow I felt they'd done the best their prejudices would allow. Its just that I often felt their own actions were the cause of all the turmoil they were forced to endure. Which is when my frustration flared highest. It however was a book that I thought about for a while after I'd finished and would definitely recommend to others.

I just finished Jessica Francis Kane's The Report - and gave it 4 stars. This is a book that makes you appreciate the life you are living - check out the full review on TNBBC's blog: The Report
