Marti (marjay) | 985 comments Whoops, I am reading the Unnamed and am finding it fascinating - absolutely FASCINATING!!!!! Here in NH the flooding is mostly in the south of the state, so I am lucky up here on my hill. Sorry Eliza for the reading slump and day off without a book. I think that sounds scary!!!!

message 18957: by M. (new)

M. B. I've finished the Decoy Princess (4 stars!) and am now onto Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book. What a way to start off a book... 3 murders, a wondering baby and a graveyard full of ghosts! Looking forward to see how this one play out.

Lianne (eclecticreading) I started reading Robert Ludlum's The Paris Option yesterday on the train ride back home for Easter weekend. I was a little weirded out at the beginning because of the writing style but the story's gotten better and pretty intense so it's been good =)

Edit: lol, just finished it xD

Jason Clay (goodreadscomwillshakespeare) | 66 comments Hi Alex I intend to start reading it again, just taking a break from reading it at the moment. You know how it is you see new books and you get the urge to read them and before you know it you have put down the book you was already reading.
Just tonight I finished a couple of books and started everywhere and everywhen because I got a yearning for science and philosophy. When the History bug bites me again the civilizations book is where I'll head to.

I enjoyed the Lost Symbol up till it got to the end and that spoilt it for me big time. Obviously I can't tell you why, because that would spoil the book for you. I hope that you will not find fault with the ending the same as I did.

Hi Susanna I recommend a couple of good Roman books there is a biography of Marcus Aurelius and Augustan the first emperor that give a very vivid picture of Roman life.

Jason Clay (goodreadscomwillshakespeare) | 66 comments Started reading everywhere and everywhen and its very challenging but I think worth the effort. It deals with philosophy and physics and makes an interaction between the two subjects. The sums as always leave me scratching my head in the dust, but the rest of it I am following pretty closely.

message 18984: by Petra (new)

Petra I finished Cujo last week. Bleh! I only rated it a 1*. I also finished Portrait of a Killer: Jack The Ripper - Case Closed, which was interesting (what book about Jack The Ripper wouldn't be?!)....however, I disagree with the author in her statement of "case closed". I don't think she proved her points at all. Too many "maybe", "perhaps", "it might have been that", etc. to sound solid and unshakeable.

I'm still reading Dracula as a bed-time book. It's so gothic and dark. Loving it so far.
Today I started The Eyre Affair. Not far enough along for an opinion yet.

message 18990: by Kaion (new)

Kaion (kaionvin) Finished The Lazarus Project. Don't know how I feel about it yet. It seemed like Hemon had some good ideas but didn't really know where to go with them- so instead filled in stuff from his own life? End result is very ambivalent and all over the place.

Ok, I dont often gush about novels (well, ok, I have in the past right? Blindness and The Road, and anything written by Verne) but I just finished one of the most amazing novels!!

Banned for Life completely took me by surprise. I purposely read it slow and devoured every single word. And I think you should too.

The book description does nothing for the book. It shields its awesomeness. It barely scrapes the surface of what those pages contain.

You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not pick it up right away.
