I am also going to be starting "Bodies that Matter" by Judith Butler - the queen of feminist/queer studies.
(Whispering to Jeremy so Lori doesn't hear...when you are 18 and a band is singing a song they wrote for you, regardless of the name, it is pretty uplifting!)
I am also reading the Chronicles of Narnia to my daughter.
(Whispering - ok, I get it now. Sounds fun)

Lolita is a Prince song, by the way.
Should we make this a game.... like we did with the birthdays? Only... it would only work with someone who hasnt announced thier names yet...
It was fun tho!!!! Charity, Queen again.... Damn...

Was it pronounced LoLeeeta ?

Hm, I thought I was the only person who said "funnily enough". AND I have to stop reading this because laughter is still side splitting for me.
I'm about 80 pgs into Blood Meridian. I hope others have read it because I'm going to have to talk about it when I'm done...haha.
I like it so far. I'm becoming a big McCarthy fan really fast. There are passages that remind of some twisted conglamoration of The Iliad and William Faulkner. The man can just flat out write.
Charity, the Thread Killa.... Hee hee....
If enough people have read the book Jesse, you can post a topic in the Book Discussions folder so you can talk about it without interupption....Logan started one with Blindness and there is one for The Road, neither were offical Group reads, but there was enough interest in both to generate alot of talk.....

But I'm only about 1/4th of the way through it. It's incredibly violent and I'll just have to see if, at some point, I just start feeling like it's just too over the top.
Thank ya, Lori. I may just do that.
