I loved The Mists of Avalon - it's been a long time since I read it but you've just reminded me of it and I might have to dig it out again.

Thanks, Jayme! That's good information. I'll see about getting Vol. 2 from the Library.

Marti (marjay) | 985 comments I just finished A Change in Altitude. It was good, but has left me with this nagging question about guilt... What is it and what is your responsibility as human?

I am not sure what is next - I could finish Holes, The Heretic Queen, Firefly Lane or what ????

Margaret, I am reading that as well... a little over the halfway mark, but it pales in comparision to some of his other books, for me...

message 17070: by Alycia (new)

Alycia (alyciac) | 2907 comments I just finished The Stainless Steel Rat Sings the Blues, which was my first one from that series. Honestly not sure if I liked Jim or not ... I'll have to read a couple of others to decide.

message 17071: by Beth (new)

Beth Diiorio (beth_diiorio) | 52 comments Just finished Crazy Beautiful...a YA book whose main characters, coming from totally different backgrounds, are both strong enough to trust their gut instincts and do what is right. Also finished The Enthusiast A Novel, a book that is SO worth taking the time to read...not just for its hysterical "intellectual humor," but also for watching the main character learn from his life experiences. Now I'm reading Four Freedoms A Novel and enjoying it so far.

My son gave me the first season of True Blood for Christmas. Since Christmas, I've watched the whole season and read the 9 books that are currently out. An addiction, I fear.

message 17079: by [deleted user] (new)

Just finished From Dead To Worse (Sookie Stackhouse #8) by Charlaine Harris. Loved the ending on this one. I don't think it had quite the same pull and "big" moments as some of the others but still very enjoyable to read.

Now onto Poppy and Dingan by Ben Rice which will be a quick light read. It's based in country/rural Australia and is about a young girl who's Dad loses her imaginary friends. Even though I'm Australian its a little anoying with some of the jargon though if I wasn't Australian I don't know that I'd know what they were talking about.
