Right now I'm reading The End of the Affair by Graham Greene, and will start The Cider House Rules by Irving tonight.

I like that! I may join you on it, Cait!
Cait, that is great news. I have LSiTR, and it will be my first Irving. (I have two others, but am looking forward to this one right now!)

I love Irving too, Cait. I love how involved I get in his stories. And a big HOORAY for The End of the Affair!

This was a great book! Definitely was a 5 stars for me! Glad to hear you are enjoying it!

You have a neighbourhood book..."
We do, and it is awesome. We meet once a month, and pot luck a dinner related to that month's book.

I just finished "Eating Animals" by Foer. Those poor animals, my poor appetite!
Im starting on A Day and a Night and a Day A Novel by Glen Ducnan. It's about an american who is a terrorist, caught and tortured by another american. Only a few pages in at the moment.
Jen, I have Bleak House and cant wait to get to it....

Thanks!!! I have yet to be disappointed by one of her books.

More in "store"!! HA, good one, did you plan that one or was it awesome all on its own?
And, Janny, that book club sounds so great. And potluck dinner too! I wonder how someone goes about starting something like that...something to think about.

I am reading Rituals of the Season by Margaret Moran.

A Garden of Earthly Delights -- Joyce Carol Oates
Split Infinity -- Piers Anthony
This is the fourth Oates book I've read, and I've loved all of them. The Piers one is not grabbing me quite so much, but it's all right.

Please comment here how you liked or did not like this book. I have it on my TBR pile and hope to read it before the end of the year.

Thanks Marti, totally helpful!

I've always been more partial to the Vampire Chronicles. Queen of The Damned is my favorite, the movie is bad though.

Dorie, I think you will like this. It took me a bit to get into, but once I did, it was quite humorous!

Started Under the Dome A Novel. I was saving it for a cruise we are going on next week but didn't realize the book was so HUGE - a whopping 3.5 pounds. The way the airlines are charging for extra weight, I decided to read the book now so I would have room for a souvenir or two.

Shona, I've requested both of these books from the library, so thank you! Not only do they both seem interesting they will both help me reach my goal in the AtWi 80 books challenge. Also, I haven't read anything by Chris Bohjalian in a while and I'm looking forward to a new read from this author.
I am currently reading The Code of the Woosters.

Thanks for the suggestion! That one is at the top of my list!
